Dream Diner’s car show brings enthusiasts together for a showcase of rides with trophy awards, music, prizes for participating drivers, a 50/50 raffle, and other activities.

Clear out clutter and keep hazardous materials out of landfills at this community electronics recycling collection at the St. Augustine Parish parking lot. Anything with a plug or batteries is accepted, along with reusable bicycles, and items are processed responsibly for a small fee. Pricing is per item as follows. The $5 category covers computer towers, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, small printers, stereos, radios, alarm clocks, speakers, video game consoles, table lamps, fans, hair dryers, curling irons, projectors, power tools such as drills, cameras, clocks, trophies, frying pans, holiday lights, and other small electronics. The $10 group includes small household appliances, vacuum cleaners including robotic models, toaster ovens, ceiling fans, floor lamps, air fryers, electric grills, hot plates, small radiators, keyboard pianos, coffee makers, ice makers, sewing machines, car seats, and strollers. The $20 tier applies to flat screen computer monitors, microwaves, dehumidifiers, air conditioners, water coolers, large printers or copiers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, heat lamps, artificial Christmas trees, fire extinguishers, and empty propane tanks. The $25 level covers TVs up to 26 inches, CRT monitors, outdoor grills, and dorm-size refrigerators. The $30 tier includes TVs between 26 and 35 inches, white goods such as washing machines, dryers, stoves, and dishwashers, as well as large appliances, large yard equipment, treadmills and other exercise equipment, snow blowers, lawn mowers, rototillers, large generators, motors, and water tanks. The $35 rate applies to TVs over 36 inches and large refrigerators. Projection TVs are $40. Some items are free to drop off, with optional cash donations appreciated, including cell phones, reusable bicycles, video game media and accessories, wires, cables, chargers, car or truck batteries, DVDs, keyboards, and tablets. On arrival, follow the cones and staff directions, pull up near the truck or dumpster, and feel free to stay in your vehicle while workers unload. Participants from any town are welcome. It takes place rain or shine. Computer hard drives are destroyed during processing, and removal on site is available for an additional charge. Cash is preferred, and checks are accepted for totals over $30.

On the second Saturday of each month from April through November, weather permitting, CFOM opens the donation trailer in the McCarthy Middle School parking lot with help from Chelmsford music students. For the safety of volunteers, please sort glass bottles separately before dropping them off and make sure all containers carry the MA redeemable label. As a simple guideline, beverages that are not carbonated are not eligible for redemption. Appreciation goes to everyone who supports Music in our Schools. Student and parent volunteers are welcome for any amount of time, and CFOM can certify community service hours for most organizations. High school musicians may use these hours toward CFOM scholarship qualifications.

Hands-On History brings interactive learning to the Tsongas Industrial History Center on the third floor of the Boott Cotton Mills Museum. Presented by Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center as part of the City of Lowell’s Bicentennial and the center’s 35th anniversary, this free, drop-in program welcomes all ages to try weaving on a hand loom and take on an engineering challenge inspired by innovations of the Industrial Revolution. Explore the workshop spaces, discover how technology reshaped daily life then and now, and find something hands-on for every curiosity. This series continues on the second Saturday of each month through October.

His latest album, Hard Road, on his Red Zero Records label, was executive produced by Ingram and Ric Whitney, with production by Patrick “Guitar Boy” Hayes, Nick Goldston, and longtime collaborator Tom Hambridge. The record broadens his signature sound with a vivid mix of classic blues, hard rock, funk, soulful pop, and smooth R&B, paired with ever more personal songwriting and expressive vocals. A native of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Ingram first turned heads as a teenager and has since earned international acclaim. His debut, Kingfish, led Billboard’s Blues Albums chart for 91 weeks and brought his first GRAMMY nomination along with three Blues Music Awards, including Album of the Year.
