Opal In Sky brings its modern metal sound to Taffeta Music Hall. Their aim is to inspire and motivate listeners, offering encouragement to anyone who might feel a bit lost. This is an all ages event.

A weekly mental health check-in and support group welcomes active, reserve, and retired military, veterans, and first responders, including police, fire, EMS, public safety dispatch, corrections, and ER nurses. It provides a place to connect with peers and find support tailored to these service communities. The courtyard at Lawrence Public Library hosts a relaxed community hangout with live music, board games, free arts and crafts, karaoke, and food trucks. Friends, families, and dogs are welcome. Admission is free and the event is open to all.

Ballet Magnificat! presents Anchored: The Pilgrim Story in Massachusetts in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary, with a performance at the J. Everett Collins Center for the Performing Arts. The production uses moving choreography to depict the Pilgrims’ faith and courage, their hazardous transatlantic voyage, and the relationships that grew with Native Americans. It emphasizes themes of religious liberty, personal responsibility, and the belief in equality that helped set the stage for American independence.

DJ Trivia brings an interactive trivia night to Casa Blanca Mexican Restaurant in North Billerica. Teams compete for prizes awarded to the top three while enjoying the restaurant’s food. It is a chance to play with friends and meet new people as you put your knowledge to the test.

Wamesit Lanes hosts a weekly trivia night sponsored by Truly and hosted by DJ Mike, blending music with friendly competition in a lively setting. Teams of up to six take on questions spanning sports, music, geography, entertainment, and other popular themes. Set up behind the Recreation Center in the parking area, this community market showcases a rotating mix of roughly 25 to 30 participants drawn from a pool of more than 70 vendors. Visitors can explore food trucks, farms, prepared foods, artisans and crafters, as well as community nonprofits. Make the most of the outing with the amenities at neighboring Livingston Park, which offers a splash pad, playground, skate park, tennis courts with pickleball lines, basketball courts, ball fields, an exercise court, a pavilion, and a free little library. Parking is convenient, with five nearby lots, including options across the street near the football fields and next to the playground. A small lot in front of the Recreation Center includes a limited number of marked accessible spaces.

Spend multiple days immersed in creativity with more than 55 hours dedicated to scrapbooking, card making and all-around crafty fun. The $300 registration includes a personal 6 foot crafting station with access to one electrical outlet, a welcome gift, dinner on two evenings, an additional food service to be announced, snacks, games and prizes. Prize tickets can be earned throughout the event, with a raffle at the end. Optional enhancements include classes and massages. A large scrapbooking and crafting store will be available, offering a wide selection of high quality supplies and distinctive brands from around the world. If you need more than one outlet, bring an extension cord or power tower.

An annual food drive returns to Market Basket, continuing a tradition from past years with a collection area set up at the front of the store. Guests can take part in a 50/50 raffle and explore a silent auction with enticing items available for bidding throughout the night. Proceeds support the North Andover Women’s Club and its ongoing service to the community. Expect sparkle, style, and a festive atmosphere from start to finish.

Obscure Notation delivers a New England take on jazz and blues fusion, pairing time honored standards with original works shaped by influences from the 1960s to the 1990s, spanning ECM stylists, forward looking jazz figures, and storied blues artists. Expect a program that shifts with ease from spacious, atmospheric fusion to straight ahead swing and rich, soulful blues. The band features veteran performers, educators, and composers, including Berklee trained musicians who studied with Gary Burton, Alan Dawson, Pat Metheny, Joe Pass, and other respected artists. There is no cover charge.

AF2K, also known as A Farewell To Kings, performs the music of Rush at Taffeta Music Hall. The set centers on songs by Rush, presented live by AF2K.

LP&CT Run for Nature is a community run that supports greater access to the outdoors and environmental education in Lowell. Participants can choose a one-mile fun run or walk for children 12 and under, a 5K run or walk, or a 10K run. Bib pick-up is provided. Walking is available for the 5K only. The event welcomes runners, walkers, and families with options for a range of ages and abilities.

Spend 60 minutes easing tension and quieting a busy mind. This guided session focuses on resetting the nervous system without vigorous movement, complex techniques, or any need for prior experience. You will move gently with options to use a chair or the floor, practice straightforward breathing to settle the body, and finish with a restorative period of deep rest. It differs from a standard yoga class. No performance expectations, simply space to slow down and feel more at ease. It suits anyone feeling stressed, anxious, or burned out, those who have tried yoga or meditation and found it overwhelming, or anyone who wants an hour to breathe and reset. The fee is $15 for non members, with a 10 percent discount for members. The group is small and spots are limited.
