Each session weaves nervous system education with guided somatic practice and a yoga integration to support balance. This first session focuses on sympathetic activation and the element of fire, the energetic current that can show up as anxiety, restlessness, or reactivity. On the closing day of Historic New England’s Myth & Memory: Stories of the American Revolution, a musical program traces the lives of everyday people on the home front during the struggle for independence. The trio Ampersand blends rich vocal harmonies with mandolin, bouzouki, hammered dulcimer, and penny whistles while exploring the early stirrings of revolution and the perspectives of colonists from many walks of life. The program includes songs from soldiers on both sides, a fiddle tune written by an enslaved person, and protest songs of the period.

Known as the anchor of the viral comedy series MAN NEWS, he reaches 3 million followers on TikTok and 1 million on YouTube, with more than a billion views. Beyond his online presence, he is an award-winning touring headliner who has performed in over 15 countries, with credits that include Just For Laughs in Toronto and Vancouver, appearances on Kill Tony, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Expect slow, grounding postures, steam eye masks, and warming essential oils, then conclude with a guided Yoga Nidra to ease into the restful season ahead. The session honors the nourishing Kapha qualities of winter and moves at a pace similar to restorative yin. This is a pay-what-you-can class, and all contributions support the Sponsor-a-Yogi program to help keep yoga accessible in the community. It replaces the regular Yoga Basics class on the Wednesday closest to the turning of the season and runs a little longer than usual.
