Jen Howard brings a genre-spanning live performance to Luthier's Co-op. A native of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, she is a U.S. singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose sound blends folk and roots with reggae and sophisti-pop. Her songs explore human nature and love, encourage courageous motivation, and emphasize intentional compassion for ourselves and one another. Her releases include the debut EP Motion from 2019 and the full-length Still released in March 2024. She has performed widely across the United States and internationally in places such as Canada, Germany, Iceland, the Netherlands, Mexico, Peru and Costa Rica.

2nd Home Restaurant/Lounge hosts a return performance by Tom Turci, a guitarist, singer, and songwriter from central Connecticut. His music draws from bluegrass, blues, folk, rock, and country, with original songs that recall the spirit of the 1970s and earlier. Expect intricate fingerpicking, warm acoustic strums, and expressive harmonica paired with a distinctive vocal style. Food and drinks are available to complement the live set. The 60's Experience is back at East Mountain Country Club, delivering favorite hits from the 1960s in retro outfits that capture the era. The night features a lively atmosphere with food and drinks available and plenty of time on the dance floor.

One Guitar Woman features Sue Foley's Grammy-nominated solo acoustic tribute to the female pioneers of the guitar. Drawn from her album, the performance honors the originals through deeply rooted guitar work and lively vocals that give each song new life while making it unmistakably her own. The album that inspires this program earned the Blues Music Award for Best Acoustic Album in Memphis and the Canadian Blues Award for Best Acoustic Album. Reviewers have described it as an intimate exploration of the blues that highlights her remarkable talents and noted its enduring impact. Foley is an acclaimed guitarist, singer songwriter, and writer who began performing professionally in her teens. She has released thirteen albums and has been named Traditional Female Artist of the Year at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis five years in a row. Pat Metheny brings his Side-Eye III+ project to the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, presented by DSP Shows. The 20 time Grammy Award winning guitarist and composer appears with his largest ensemble in more than a decade, featuring Joe Dyson on drums, Chris Fishman on keyboards, Jermaine Paul on bass, and Leonard Patton on percussion and vocals. The program centers on Side-Eye III+, his first ensemble studio album in six years, blending new compositions with newly imagined versions of music from across his catalog. The set reflects his continued evolution while acknowledging the sound that has defined his career. Across more than five decades, Metheny has helped shape modern music, from early work with Gary Burton and the landmark debut Bright Size Life to collaborations with Steve Reich, Ornette Coleman, Herbie Hancock, Jim Hall, Milton Nascimento, and David Bowie. He has earned 20 Grammy Awards in ten categories and sold more than 20 million albums. He became the youngest instructor at both the University of Miami and Berklee College of Music, later received an honorary doctorate, and is recognized by the DownBeat Hall of Fame and the NEA Jazz Masters. This tour supports the self titled Side-Eye III+ album and launches his label Uniquity Music, which will encompass his recordings since 1984 as well as future projects.

Rescheduled due to a forecasted nor’easter, this outdoor celebration of art, literature, live music, shopping, and dining fills the heart of downtown Westfield with creativity. Set within the Downtown Westfield Cultural District, the festival brings together local and regional fine artists, artisans, authors, musicians, street performers, food trucks, and neighborhood businesses for a welcoming autumn showcase. Visitors can explore Elm Street Plaza, the Church Street Pedestrian Walkway, the Westfield Athenaeum Esplanade, and several blocks of historic downtown, discovering original artwork, meeting creators, browsing books, enjoying live performances, visiting pop-up galleries, shopping boutiques, and relaxing at restaurants, cafés, coffee shops, and pubs. Admission is free, and downtown parking is plentiful. What began in 2017 as a small pop-up art and literature event inside Old Town Hall during Westfield PumpkinFest has grown into a wide-reaching outdoor festival that welcomes artists, authors, and guests from across western Massachusetts and throughout New England. Juried artists and artisans transform the streets into an open-air gallery featuring painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and finely crafted glass, wood, clay, and metalwork, with many pieces available for purchase directly from the makers. Readers can meet authors, poets, writers, and publishers representing a broad range of genres, from local history and children’s books to mysteries, memoirs, fantasy, horror, poetry, and self-improvement, with opportunities for conversations and book signings. Now entering its tenth season, the festival is produced by ArtWorks of Westfield Inc., an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to promoting diverse cultural, literary, musical, and performing arts experiences in the city. Returning for its fourth year, this citywide Porchfest brings neighbors and musicians together for a day of free concerts on front porches and lawns throughout Easthampton, Massachusetts. More than 25 locations in the New City, Maple/Cottage, Mt Tom and Park District neighborhoods will host performances, with over 65 acts performing at multiple private sites around town. Performer submissions are closed. To support the growing footprint, organizers are introducing a Neighborhood Captain volunteer role, serving as the primary point of contact for performers and hosts within each area as preparations move forward. This celebration is supported by the Easthampton Cultural Council, a local council of the Mass Cultural Council, along with contributions from community members, and is organized by the Porchfest Organizing Team, Felicia, Steve, and Rusty.

Katie Pruitt brings the Fools for the Fleeting Tour to The Iron Horse with Next of Kin on the bill. Pruitt’s latest album examines change and impermanence with intimate storytelling and vivid, nature-rooted imagery, carried by her warm voice and a sound that draws from Americana and indie rock. The recording leans into acoustic textures and the live-in-the-room feel created with musicians including guitarist Juan Solorzano and drummer Aksel Coe. Her breakout debut Expectations earned a nomination for Emerging Artist of the Year from the Americana Music Association, and her songs continue to explore identity, self-acceptance, environmental concerns, the fragility of love, and the isolation that can come with a digital world. Next of Kin is an alt country trio known for rich three part harmonies, country tinged arrangements, and plainspoken narratives. What began as a one off collaboration between three solo artists grew into a full fledged band, leading to the five song Homemaker EP and enthusiastic nods from outlets like KUTX and The Current that liken their spark to celebrated collaborations such as the Highwomen and the classic partnership of Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris. An 80s band comes back to Agawam for a throwback night packed with classics from the decade. A lively setting with food and drinks adds to the celebration while the music brings the era’s biggest hits to life.

Brass Attack returns to The Break at Snooker’s Billiards with a high-energy set of horn-driven R&B and rock designed for the dance floor. The club side features a stage, dance floor, and light show, and the hall area offers billiards with 12 pool tables. There is seating for more than 70 guests along with additional standing room. Expect cold drinks and food, including burgers and quesadillas. Parking is available at Snooker’s and across the street. Admission is $7.

Rally's Sports Bar hosts a solo performance from a versatile multi-instrumentalist who connects closely with listeners and treats both the songs and the crowd with care. Requests are central to the show, with the set shaped by audience ideas as the artist ventures into new material. It is a personal, interactive night guided by the room.

Presented by MILLTOWN at Pulaski Park, this long-running rumble brings together 1972 and earlier rods, kustoms, vans, bikes, stockers, race cars, and hot rods. Live bands perform throughout the day, and the grounds feature beer, booze, food, and vendors. The gathering began in Worcester, Massachusetts, and has spent the last five years at its current Pulaski Park location, marking the seventeenth edition overall.

Brooklyn songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tōth, the solo project of Alex Toth of Rubblebucket, offers a performance at The Drake in Amherst, MA that feels like a shared gathering, open and inclusive. His songs carry deep emotion with a thread of humor, and he is captivating onstage, mixing spontaneous, playful banter with soulful, expressive trumpet work. His third album, And The Voice Said, made with Grammy-nominated collaborator Caroline Rose and featuring Kimbra, finds him at a creative high as both singer and visionary artist.
