Paid street parking is available in the neighborhood, and a nearby garage offers two hours free when you register your vehicle as directed by posted signs. This class is hosted by Baltimore Peninsula, and advance registration is requested. First-time participants will need to complete a waiver upon arrival.

    2026 Summer Fun Run Series

    PGRC teams up with the Greenbelt Recreation Department for the Buddy Attick Summer Fun Run series, part of the Get Active Greenbelt initiative. These free summer gatherings welcome walkers and runners of every pace in a friendly setting. The route circles the shaded lake path at Buddy Attick Park, with a choice of 1.75 miles for one lap or 3 miles for two. Participants meet at the Greenbelt Youth Center parking lot. Registration has two parts, including an online sign up and a City of Greenbelt activity form to bring to the first race. If lightning is present, a race may be cancelled and updates will be posted on PGRC’s website. Volunteers support the series in roles such as registration, course marshaling, water stations, popsicle and ice support, and setup and cleanup.
