The class provides Maryland HQL certification training alongside dedicated situational awareness instruction and guidance on recognizing threats. It is a veteran and woman owned offering, and space is limited.

Designed for newcomers to aerial yoga, this foundations workshop at Flying Buddha Studio introduces the aerial hammock as a supportive prop and builds skills for a safe practice. Attendees learn core terminology, wrist wraps, proper hammock placement, approaches to inversions, and essential safety guidelines. The session also explains how the studio’s different aerial yoga classes compare, helping attendees choose their next step with confidence. Completion of this workshop is required before enrolling in aerial yoga classes on the studio’s weekly schedule. Enrollment is limited to 12 students. The workshop costs $55 without a hammock rental or $65 with a hammock rental. A new student special is available that bundles the foundations workshop with two aerial classes for $95, and this option does not include a hammock rental. If using a studio hammock, a rental is required to support sanitization after each use.
