The Hamilton Live, 600 14th St NW, Washington · verified Jul 31
    See details

Better Off Dead appears with Bella Rayne for a night of Grateful Dead-inspired jams, rock, and Americana, all delivered with an exploratory spirit. For more than a decade, Better Off Dead has honored the Dead’s songbook with passion and curiosity, pulling from nearly the entire catalog so every performance feels distinct. Their concerts center the community around this music, with plenty of dancing, smiles, and a balance of faithful nods and fresh interpretations. Bella Rayne is an 18-year-old self-taught guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose sound bridges generations. She and her high-energy band blend soulful Southern rock, modern Americana, and improvisational jam, weaving original songs with reimagined Dead favorites. Among the standout moments of her young career, she was invited to play Jerry Garcia’s storied Alligator guitar, an opportunity made possible by Grateful Guitars Foundation, a nonprofit that equips musicians with world-class instruments and supports music education. Please note that the front row of tables and chairs will be cleared to create a general admission pit, and some seated areas may have obstructed views.
