This weekly Star Wars Legion open play session provides dedicated space for Legion players and is free to attend. In addition to open play, monthly Star Wars Legion tournaments are offered.

Back by popular demand, these summer story times offer a free outing where young families can connect. Weather permitting, the gathering takes place outside on the grassy area by the playground, with an indoor option if needed. The session features stories and songs, then wraps up with free play on the playground. All are welcome. Anyone interested in enrollment details or a tour can speak with the Preschool Director after the group time.

Explore the Coon Rapids Farmers Market in the parking lot of the Coon Rapids Ice Center, where local growers and producers offer seasonal vegetables, berries, honey, jams, flowers and more. Each week brings a fresh mix of crafters, artists and cottage bakers, creating a changing selection of handmade goods and treats.

Fresh finds return to Riverfront Memorial Park as the farmers market expands for an extended season. The open air market features produce, baked goods, cottage foods, farmstead products, flowers, and more, with the selection growing as the season progresses. The extended season offers up to 11 vendors, while the regular season welcomes as many as 25, creating a total run of 23 weeks. In case of inclement weather, the market moves indoors at City Hall. During the summer months, the City’s Rockin’ on the Rum concert series takes place during the market at Riverfront Memorial Park, adding live music alongside the shopping.

Unsure what is chewing on leaves, which weeds are in the lawn, or why a tree looks unwell? Master Gardeners offer diagnostic support at the Plant and Insect Diagnostic Clinic, a no cost resource for Anoka County residents. Participants can bring as many as three items for identification or troubleshooting, including weeds, insect specimens, or damaged plant material. Master Gardeners assess samples to identify likely insects, diseases, or other issues, then provide University of Minnesota guidance on best practices to address common gardening and landscaping needs.

This event features free music-themed bingo with prizes awarded in every round. Open to all ages, it offers a family-friendly activity everyone can enjoy together.

A community game night with a group game led by Ben and Amy that is open to anyone. Other groups are also welcoming to new players. Participants can bring a game, a craft, or a book, or simply relax and enjoy the company. The coffee bar will be open, and there is no purchase required.

The Andover Card Show, hosted and managed by Real Sportscards, brings together more than 100 regional dealers at the Andover Community Center for a lively day of buying, selling, and trading. Attendees can browse vintage and modern sports cards, Pokémon and other TCG, high-end singles, graded slabs, sealed packs and boxes, and plenty of bargain bins. The event welcomes all ages and is family friendly. Admission is free with registration required. Free parking is available, and security will be on site. Dealers should note that tables are limited and available only through the official Real Sportscards mobile app, and payments are never requested by text, direct message, or comments outside the app.

Enjoy free board gaming in a spacious setting with plenty of tables. Bring your own games, borrow from the board game demo shelf, or purchase a new game and start playing right away. Friends and family are welcome to play together. Gaming space is also available throughout the week.

Urban Sketchers Twin Cities hosts a relaxed sketching day at Historic Eidem Farm, a 19 acre living history site in Brooklyn Park just north of 694. Admission is free, with free on site parking and restrooms available. The farm preserves early 20th century agricultural life on land that was once part of a leading potato growing region in the United States. Deeded to the City of Brooklyn Park in 1970, it operates as a museum offering programs and community gatherings. Artists will find plenty to draw, including the well kept Victorian house, barns, outbuildings, historic equipment, gardens, walking paths, and farm animals. Those who enjoy architecture can work from both interior and exterior views, and nature focused sketchers will discover abundant scenes across the grounds. Meet near the entrance for a friendly welcome with the hosts, then reconnect later to share sketches and take a group photo. There are no concessions on the farm. Discover Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition with a free learn-to-play class led by Wyldwolf. Build a character, learn the basic rules, and jump into a beginner-friendly adventure to put new skills into action. No prior experience or supplies are needed. Sessions are available for families and kids ages 10 to 15, as well as for adults and teens ages 16 to 17. Pre-registration is required, and the average session lasts about three hours.
