Now in its third year, this 5K raises funds for medical or therapeutic treatments that support the mental wellness of Ashland Fire Department firefighters experiencing PTSD. The course starts at the fire department, heads to the Town Center Mall, makes three laps around the outer edge of the mall parking area, and returns to the starting point. Registration is offered at $25, $30, or $35 depending on the registration window. All registered participants receive a race shirt, and breakfast pizzas will be available after the race from Rocky Top Pizza.

The Kevin Prater Band brings its seasoned bluegrass to Kentucky Bluebird Grill & Pub, led by mandolinist and vocalist Kevin Prater. His musical path began at age seven and now spans 47 years, with performances across 49 states and 24 countries. He is best known for a twelve-year tenure with the James King Band, contributing to projects that earned album of the year, song of the year, and recorded event of the year honors, and he later received a banjo player of the year nomination during a three-year run with The Bluegrass Brothers. On stage, the group mixes driving Kentucky bluegrass with classic country, bluegrass gospel, original songs, and bluegrass-flavored takes on vintage rock. Recent highlights include extensive touring throughout the U.S. and Canada, a featured slot at the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, a multi-show California run, and a sold-out stop at the Station Inn in Nashville. The band is completing its first all-original recording, and the single “Kentucky Mountain Memories,” released by Turnberry Records, reached number 6 on Roots Music Charts. They also captured a live set for T. B. Suttons Old Time Radio Hour in Granville, Tennessee, now available as a recording.
