Anglers who qualified by fishing at least seven Lake White Wednesday Night Tournaments in 2026 can compete in the Arlie Adams Memorial championship at Lake White State Park in Waverly, with boats launching from the main ramp and an entry fee of $50 per person. The purse pays out in full, with an additional big bass award. The top team will also receive a Henry carbine provided by Bill’s Bait House, and winners will take home official MillerTech fishing shirts, hats, and headlamps. Participants are encouraged to review the complete rules before tournament day. No pre-fishing is permitted on Lake White during the three days leading up to the event. All boats must have a fully functioning livewell that circulates fresh lake water. Be inside the no wake zone by the end of competition, and do not fish beyond the buoy line at the dam. Jackson 100 For Good brings people together each quarter to support nonprofits serving Jackson County. The model is simple: 100 members each contribute $100 once per quarter. At the meeting, members nominate local organizations, three are randomly selected to present, and a member vote determines which nonprofit receives the Impact Award. The event opens with time to connect, followed by a short update from the most recent Impact Award recipient on how funds from the first meeting have been used or are planned to be used. Members must be in good standing, having made their previous quarterly contribution, to nominate and vote. Everyone is welcome to attend, including community members and kids, to watch the process and see collective giving in action.

The Kevin Prater Band brings its seasoned bluegrass to Kentucky Bluebird Grill & Pub, led by mandolinist and vocalist Kevin Prater. His musical path began at age seven and now spans 47 years, with performances across 49 states and 24 countries. He is best known for a twelve-year tenure with the James King Band, contributing to projects that earned album of the year, song of the year, and recorded event of the year honors, and he later received a banjo player of the year nomination during a three-year run with The Bluegrass Brothers. On stage, the group mixes driving Kentucky bluegrass with classic country, bluegrass gospel, original songs, and bluegrass-flavored takes on vintage rock. Recent highlights include extensive touring throughout the U.S. and Canada, a featured slot at the Blueberry Bluegrass Festival in Edmonton, Alberta, a multi-show California run, and a sold-out stop at the Station Inn in Nashville. The band is completing its first all-original recording, and the single “Kentucky Mountain Memories,” released by Turnberry Records, reached number 6 on Roots Music Charts. They also captured a live set for T. B. Suttons Old Time Radio Hour in Granville, Tennessee, now available as a recording.
