Counseling and application assistance for Federal Black Lung Benefits are also available during the screening. Afterward, all testing is billed to your insurance. The Sexual Assault Help Center is hosting a free self defense class at the Ohio County Library, reflecting its work to end sexual violence, human trafficking, and stalking while offering 24/7 support for survivors and free prevention programs. This two hour Empowered Self Defense workshop begins with a facilitated discussion that dispels common myths about people who cause harm, looks at power and control dynamics that can increase risk, and explains how the brain responds in frightening situations along with strategies to manage those responses. The session then moves into hands-on training in physical self protection, with instruction adaptable for every body and ability. The class welcomes participants of all ages, genders, and mobility levels, including those with movement-related disabilities. Comfortable clothing and water are recommended, and participants are encouraged to care for their own needs throughout.

There is no heat or air conditioning, so dress for the weather. Expect stairs and outdoor walking, and note that the facility is not wheelchair accessible.
