Set in the parking lot of Lucky’s Market, this open air farmers market features a growing mix of local vendors offering fresh seasonal produce, locally raised pork, homemade baked goods, flowers, local honey, wellness goods, and handcrafted items. Browse the stalls to gather ingredients for dinner or pick out a sweet treat, and enjoy friendly conversations while supporting small businesses in the community.

Take a guided walk through the earthworks grounds and learn how to identify native Ohio trees while exploring the vital role they play in the environment. Discover how people have used trees throughout history for food, medicine, tools, shelter, and more. As part of the experience, students will create a personalized Tree Journal to take home for recording observations, identifying new trees, and continuing their discoveries. Plan for outdoor exploration with light walking on uneven ground. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle. This program is designed for students ages 5 to 12. Younger children are welcome, but participation in the activity requires one-on-one assistance from a parent or guardian.

The museum sets a calmer tone with dimmer lights, softer sound, and other supportive adjustments during sensory hours. Monthly offerings highlight different sensory activities, including water tables, sensory bottles, sensory bins in the courtyard during the Worldwide Day of Play with free outdoor fun, and spooky-themed experiences. Participation is included with admission and free for members. Sensory-friendly supplies are available upon request any time you visit The Works.

For a decade, tiny wonders have been popping up at Infirmary Mound Park as fairies settle along the Wildflower Trail. The residents delight in visitors and are especially fond of fairy-inspired attire, so whimsical outfits are welcome. New fairy homes appear throughout the summer, and the community departs again in September, which makes each visit a chance to spot something new. Leave a note through the United Fairy Postal Service and there is a chance to receive a reply. While exploring, the Nature Playscape at Shelter 5 offers another stop for curious adventurers. To reach the trail, drive straight into the park, turn left at the T, and park by the lake near Shelter 6. Pick up a map at the fairy wing kiosk and follow the route around the water or watch for signs. The Wildflower Fairy Trail begins about a quarter mile from the Shelter 6 parking area, and the loop itself is approximately a quarter mile. Please treat wildlife with care, pack out all items and skip glitter, trash, and plastics, stay on the path since poison ivy and stinging nettle grow in the woods, and leave the tiny houses just as they are so others can enjoy them.
