Paint a sunflower in watercolor under the instruction of local artist Diana Andres, an alum of Columbus College of Art & Design. Follow a clear, stage-by-stage process to complete an 8x10 artwork, and head home with your finished piece. All supplies are included. The workshop is limited to 14 participants and is open to ages 16 and older. The fee is $35 plus tax per person. This class is currently full.

For a decade, tiny wonders have been popping up at Infirmary Mound Park as fairies settle along the Wildflower Trail. The residents delight in visitors and are especially fond of fairy-inspired attire, so whimsical outfits are welcome. New fairy homes appear throughout the summer, and the community departs again in September, which makes each visit a chance to spot something new. Leave a note through the United Fairy Postal Service and there is a chance to receive a reply. While exploring, the Nature Playscape at Shelter 5 offers another stop for curious adventurers. To reach the trail, drive straight into the park, turn left at the T, and park by the lake near Shelter 6. Pick up a map at the fairy wing kiosk and follow the route around the water or watch for signs. The Wildflower Fairy Trail begins about a quarter mile from the Shelter 6 parking area, and the loop itself is approximately a quarter mile. Please treat wildlife with care, pack out all items and skip glitter, trash, and plastics, stay on the path since poison ivy and stinging nettle grow in the woods, and leave the tiny houses just as they are so others can enjoy them.
