This weekend in Wilmington, OH

9Lincoln hosts its third annual car show with $10 vehicle registration and free general admission. The day features food trucks, vendors, awards, raffles, a 50/50, and live music by American Backbone. 9Lincoln is a nonprofit in Harlan Township that supports Harlan Township Fire Department personnel, their families, auxiliary members, and the wider community. Fundraisers organized by the group include the Jeep Meet, Egg My Yard, a cornhole tournament, and this car show. Money raised helps make community programs possible, including the Easter Egg Hunt at Whitacre Park, Trunk or Treat and Candy Cane Christmas at HTFD, annual school supply donations, and adopting families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last year, the organization awarded two $500 scholarships, one for LM and one for Goshen. 9Lincoln also assists fire victims in Harlan Township when needed and provides meals during fire runs and trainings, with plans to grow its outreach.

A Compassion Wilmington Food Pantry giveaway provides food to Clinton County residents. All county residents are eligible, and an ID is required to verify address.

Bring the family to Caesars Ford Park for the Caesar Ford Ranger Classic, a free community gathering centered around a car show. The program features participant registration, vehicle judging, and an awards presentation.

A second annual fall barn gathering brings friends, families, and horse lovers together for a relaxed day at the barn. Food will be available, and guests are welcome to contribute a dish to share. Drinks are provided as well, or attendees can bring their own labeled cooler. TinCap Hard Cider hosts an evening of line dancing with Aaron on the patio in Wilmington. The night includes guided lessons and instruction, welcoming first timers as well as experienced dancers. Enjoy dancing, drinks, and a fun atmosphere with friends and family. This event is part of a summer line dance series at the venue. There is no cover or door charge.

Billy "Crash" Craddock brings his energetic blend of country and rockabilly to Keepin' It Country Farm, with the Richard Lynch Band also performing. Known to fans as the King of Country Rock Music and Mr. Country Rock, he first broke through in Australia with rockabilly hits like Boom Boom Baby and One Last Kiss, then found U.S. country success in the 1970s with singles including Rub It In, Broken Down in Tiny Pieces, and Ruby Baby. Career milestones include singing on the Grand Ole Opry, donating memorabilia to the Country Music Hall of Fame, and touring to sold-out crowds around the world. He notes that he has a good time when the audience does, and his shows reflect that spirit.

A screening of Ohio: Wild at Heart at Ceasars Ford Park presents a 40-minute film showcasing Ohio’s natural beauty with IMAX visuals. Viewers virtually explore more than 25 parks, nature preserves, and wildlife areas while learning about the successful restoration of habitats and the return of wildlife such as bald eagles and trumpeter swans. Produced in partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the film blends an uplifting story with striking imagery that appeals to families. Admission is free, but tickets are required and seating is limited. Please register each attendee to receive the correct number of tickets, and reserve only what you plan to use. Each ticket includes a seat, and popcorn and drinks will be available while supplies last.

Celebrate Pirate Weekend at the Ohio Renaissance Festival with a casual meetup hosted by The Autonomy Project. Spend the day enjoying festival shows, sipping mead, feasting on turkey legs, and soaking up the lively atmosphere of the faire. A group photo is planned at the pirate ship for anyone who wants a keepsake. Attendees are responsible for their own tickets, transportation, parking, and any other expenses, and purchasing tickets in advance is recommended since entry may be limited on certain days. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Cell service can be unreliable on the grounds, so plan to coordinate without depending on your phone.

A thought-provoking film screens as part of the every other month Coffee and Cheesecake Cinema series, designed to spark conversation on a Sunday afternoon. Admission is $10 and includes coffee and cheesecake after the movie. Murphy members receive free admission along with the same complimentary treats. After the credits, attendees can gather in Charlie’s for dessert and friendly discussion, and the bar will not be open. Those who take part in the conversation will help pick the next movie by voting from a list provided.
