    A dark carnival atmosphere comes to Spring Valley Campground as the Imperial Guard presents the tenth anniversary edition of a beloved Belegarth gathering. For years this event has meant the ring of steel, firelit nights, late songs, and the kind of shared moments that arise when the community is together. The grounds transform into a realm of spectacle where warriors test skill and bards spin stories for coin. Expect thematic field battles and open fighting, weapon tournaments including a Highlander tournament, quests and themed adventures, bardic showcases and Arts and Sciences competitions, trading and merchant activity, the annual King of Games, and ceremonies of remembrance, with plenty of late-night revelry. A waiver is required, and preregistered participants have already completed it. Entry fees vary by arrival day, with Thursday at $40, Friday at $35, and Saturday at $20. Minors under 16 and pets are $5, and parking is $5 per vehicle. On-site payments are accepted in cash or via PayPal. Whether coming to fight, perform, craft, compete, or enjoy the camaraderie, veterans and first-timers alike can find a place under the lights as the torches glow and the carnival spirit comes alive.

    Paul's Jam at The Barn serves as a springboard for emerging musicians and bands. Performers play for The Barn audience, build a following, and can be considered for future bookings at the venue. It is also a place to meet fellow musicians, with participants traveling from Parkersburg, West Virginia to Sidney, Ohio and communities in between. A house PA and drum kit are provided for performers. During the 10th season, every participating musician may enter an exclusive drawing open only to performers in Paul's Jam for a Dean Thoroughbred X electric guitar in the limited Color Blast finish, courtesy of CA House Zanesville and C. A. House Music. Standard Thoroughbred X models typically run from roughly $429 to just over $500, and the Color Blast edition is capped at 100 instruments. Thanks to CA House for partnering with Zanesville's hub for live music in support of local musicians.
