    Explore local flora on a free, guided walk created in partnership with forestry educator Cathryn Pugh of Penn State Extension. Monthly walks are offered at parks across six counties and focus on the basics of plant identification, with an opportunity to earn credits. Each session covers up to a half mile on a gentle path and restrooms are nearby. At this location, Kings Gap Environmental Education Center hosts two sessions that meet at the Kings Gap Hollow Day Use Area. Space is limited, and advance registration is available. Additional sessions are offered at Pine Grove Furnace State Park and at other parks statewide.
