Caitlin Cannon and more

South Main Sounds hosts a performance featuring two singular voices in modern roots music. Alabama-born and Nashville-based Caitlin Cannon brings sharp wit and open-hearted storytelling, moving easily between humor and heartbreak as she explores love, loss, addiction, and more. Her 2025 album Love Addict earned praise from The Nashville Scene, following acclaimed releases Beggar and The TrashCannon Album. Honors include first place at Songwriter Serenade and third at the Telluride Troubadour Contest, and her work extends to comedy and education through Beyond Bars, a prison songwriting program created with the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County and the 30A Songwriters Festival. Sharing the stage, Stacy Antonel delivers a genre-blending approach shaped by early pop and R&B influences alongside years of classical piano. After graduating from UC Berkeley she moved to Buenos Aires, performing in an electro-cumbia project and recording jingles for outlets like MTV and Jeep that aired across Latin America. Back in California she played in various groups before finding a home in country music. Her 2022 debut Always the Outsider mixed mid century country stylings with themes that range from the sensual to the supernatural, leading to recognition as a finalist at the NewSong Music Competition and honorable mentions at the Telluride Troubadour Competition and the Planet Bluegrass Songwriter Showcase.

Paper Wings + opener Savannah Brister

Paper Wings performs an intimate set of pastoral folk, with Emily Mann and Wila Frank blending subtle banjo and harmonies so close they feel like a single voice. Their latest release, Listen to the World Spin, showcases songwriting that nods to American folk traditions while remaining distinctly their own, pairing plainspoken lyrics with reflections on solitude, the natural world, and the passage of time. The songs became a compass and a solace for the duo through recent years, and they share them in hopes of offering that same reassurance. The album was brought to listeners with support from Free Dirt Records. Opening the show, Memphis-based singer songwriter Savannah Brister brings a powerful voice and candid writing that creates an intimate, welcoming atmosphere. Her easy charm deepens the connection with listeners. She gained national attention on NBC's The Voice as part of John Legend's team, and her work has been honored with an HMMA award for Dear World along with multiple accolades for Feelings from her debut album Soft. An evening that pairs Paper Wings' close-knit harmonies and timeless textures with Brister's expressive songs.

Dead Poet Society

Dead Poet Society take the stage for an all ages performance, with tickets priced at $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the show. Fronted by Jack Underkofler and rounded out by Jack Collins on guitar, Will Goodroad on drums, and Dylan Brenner on bass, the band draws from FISSION, a second album shaped by years of dedication and growth. These songs lean into unvarnished honesty, speaking to listeners wherever they find themselves. FISSION explores the upheavals that change a person, from relationship fallout and addiction to the responsibilities of adulthood and the ongoing search for identity. Running In Circles and Hurt wrestle with doubt and the risk of following the wrong path, while How Could I Love You and I Hope You Hate Me face the bitter edges of a breakup. 81 Tonnes looks back on a period of instability, and Black And Gold closes the album with lingering questions. The sound spans anthemic alternative, dark hard rock, and progressive indie. It feels raw and human, yet touched by a cool digital sheen. Moments like the ballad Tipping Point and My Condition sit alongside the mechanical churn of Hard To Be God and KOET, reflecting the band’s focus on tone, melody, and a dynamic energy that mirrors their live presence. Following their 2021 debut –!–, the quartet sought less to echo early influences such as Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Nothing But Thieves, and Royal Blood, and more to carve out a voice that is unmistakably their own.

Experience an intimate evening with Keia as live music featuring strings sets the mood and familiar favorites take center stage. Born in San Antonio and raised around the world in a military family, she honed her sound and performance style after moving to Memphis, working with standout local artists and forging connections with national names like The Bar-Kays and David Porter of Stax Records. In college at Arkansas State University, she made history as the third Black Miss ASU, following alumna and Miss America 1990 Debbye Turner, and later earned the Miss Congeniality title at the Miss Arkansas Pageant. She graduated with a Communications degree emphasizing Radio and Television Broadcasting, along with a minor in Political Science, yet the arts continued to call. Her national breakthrough came with American Idol, where “Miss Congeniality” reached Hollywood in two seasons and drew praise for a performance of My Heart Will Go On that led guest judge Mary J. Blige to say, “She can sing!” She also competed on Season 4 of The Voice. Through setbacks and successes, Keia has kept singing, and this performance offers a close view of the artist she is today.
