White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour arrives at the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum, presented by LoneTree Live in the intimate carriage house setting. Staged without rehearsal or a director, the performer meets the script for the very first time onstage, inviting an evening shaped by surprise, vulnerability, humor, and discovery. Each date features a different actor, and this performance showcases Natalie Jones. Seating is intentionally limited to about 35 guests to keep the experience up close. Premium tickets are $55 and include early entry, a pre-show drink, and a commemorative gift. Standard tickets are $45 for the performance only, with optional drink purchases available. All proceeds benefit LoneTree Live and its newly created Actor Fund, supporting fair compensation for artists and the company’s commitment to accessible, artist-centered, boundary-pushing theatre in Memphis. To preserve the mystery, reading about the play in advance is discouraged. The production contains mature and sensitive themes that encourage reflection.

The Caspian 5 & 10 Miler brings a summer trail experience to the Tour De Wolf Trails at Shelby Farms Park, with a start and finish at the Beaver Lake Pavilion near Beaver Lake Cove. Runners move along smooth, runnable dirt paths with gentle rollers, passing through shaded forest and open meadows with peaceful lake views before a memorable run across the Beaver Lake levee to the finish. Wildlife sightings are common and the warm season often makes for quick conditions. Two distances are offered, a 5 miler and a 10 miler. The 10 miler completes two loops of the 5 mile course. Water-only aid is available for the 5 miler around miles 1.5 and 3.5, and for the 10 miler around miles 1.5, 3.5, 5, 6.5, and 8.5, with food and additional refreshments at the 5 mile point for 10 mile runners. This is a cupless race, so participants should carry a cup, bottle, flask, or hydration vest. Personal bags with nutrition and supplies may be left at the start and finish area. Porta potties will be at the start, and nearby restrooms with running water are available. The event is professionally chip timed, and bibs should be worn on the front and kept visible. If the trails remain dry, road shoes can work, though trail shoes are also recommended. Participants will receive free race photos as part of the Cobra Den Trail Series, provided by Mamba Trail Runners, and a series documentary will capture highlights from all four events. Packet pickup is at the Beaver Lake Pavilion, which also serves as the start and finish area and sits just down the side road past the horse stables. After the race, awards will recognize the top three overall male and female finishers and age group winners in both distances. While waiting for awards, runners can enjoy snacks, drinks, cooling towels, music, and time with the trail running community, then cheer for fellow finishers.

Sean Murphy presents a sound meditation that blends immersive music with a focus on relaxation and self care, drawing on instruments such as didgeridoos, tuba, flutes, gongs, kalimbas, drums, bells, bowls, and more. Rooted in improvisation, the experience has been likened by listeners to targeted sonic therapy and a profoundly transformative journey. The program lasts about 90 minutes. Seating includes traditional chairs as well as space to recline, and participants may bring a yoga mat, blankets, pillows, or other items that support personal comfort so the experience can deepen. Murphy is a multidisciplinary artist with more than 30 years of professional experience as a musician, ethnomusicologist, instrument maker, sound healer, and teaching artist. He holds a degree in music history with an emphasis in ethnomusicology from the University of Memphis and was trained on tuba in both classical and jazz traditions. A long-standing interest in global music has led him to build and play a wide range of instruments. Early solo work accompanying dance and yoga guided him toward sound healing, and he has co-led workshops in restorative yoga, sound healing, and meditative movement with Anne J. Froning throughout the United States. His performances and recordings span classical, hip hop, world, ambient, jazz, hard rock, and new age. He leads the Mighty Souls Brass Band, appears with numerous jazz groups, and has extensive recording credits as a soloist, bandleader, and sideman, with collaborations that include Dr. John, Paul Winter, Mike Tamburo, the Meters, Galactic, Clyde Stubblefield, and Rufus Thomas.

This event also doubles as a preview of the Mamba 100, and the half marathon follows the same paths used in that race, trimmed to reach the official 13.1 miles. The start and finish area features food, music, cooling towels, fans, and ice-cold water. Seven milers turn back at the main aid station to head toward the finish, while half marathoners continue farther before returning there later in the race. This is a cupless event, so plan to carry your own hydration. Keep orange course markings and flags on your right, and expect two brief two-way sections where markers may appear on both sides. Wear your bib on the front so race photos can be captured. Every participant earns a custom finisher medal, and post-race awards recognize the top three overall men and women as well as age group winners in both distances.
