Appalachian Highlands Healthy Babies offers a free, monthly breastfeeding meetup at the Parenting Sweet in Bristol, TN, where parents can find support, information, and encouragement. The gathering is facilitated by accredited La Leche League Leaders. Children are welcome to attend.

Admission is free at Citizens Bank Stadium at Elizabethton High School. The concession stands will be open.

An evening of live music arrives in downtown Jonesborough as the Music on the Square series spotlights the Peterson Perkins Quartet. The stage is set in front of the Washington County Courthouse, offering a relaxed outdoor setting for a free concert open to everyone. Across the season, the series showcases a wide mix of sounds, from bluegrass and jazz to rock, americana, and blues, and this week includes the Pastor Pig BBQ food truck.

Join us for a Storytelling Open Mic evening featuring local storytellers. Sign-ups open at 6:15 PM, and the program runs from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with storytellers invited to share 5 to 7 minute stories. There will also be a featured storyteller set during the event. The tenth edition of the Baby & Family Expo brings together families and caregivers at YWCA NETN and SWVA for a free, family-focused showcase of services, products, and community resources for babies and young children. The first 200 attendees receive goodie bags, adding a little extra excitement to a day designed to make it easy to explore everything in one place. Attendees can browse specialty and unique items for all ages, place bids in a silent auction, and gather information on activities and programs for children. Those who visit every vendor will be entered into a grand prize drawing made possible by event sponsors. Throughout the expo, find demonstrations and resources covering pregnancy and childbirth, baby care and development, and babywearing. Car seat safety information and on-site checks are offered in partnership with Buckle Up Appalachia. Parenting tips and classes are available through the Appalachian Parenting Education Network and Parenting Sweet, alongside AHH Babies World Breastfeeding Week information. Families can also sign up children for area dance, theatre, and other programs, and learn about YWCA childcare, afterschool, and parenting resources. The Appalachian Promise Parenting Education Network is supported by a grant from Ballad Health’s Population Health Community Health Initiative, part of the STRONG Accountable Care Community. Support from Ballad Health’s Population Health Department advances efforts that give children a strong start, expand access to community resources, build resilience, and foster learning across the region.

Bundles of Joy Diaper Distribution Day provides support for anyone in need, including individuals picking up on behalf of someone else. The aim is simple... to help make sure diapers reach the people who need them.

The Birthplace of Country Music Museum is hosting a monthly Songwriters Circle where beginners, experienced songwriters, and aspiring writers can share songs, brainstorm ideas, and encourage each other. Incredible Business Networking presents a Biz Lunch in Kingsport at Cancun Family Mexican Restaurant, created for professionals and entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas, and build referral relationships over a friendly midday gathering. The format features a main program with optional open networking both before and after, giving attendees time to meet new contacts and continue conversations.
