Hand Build Lil Fairy Houses & Mushrooms

Settle into a relaxed, community-minded studio and hand build whimsical fairy houses and mushrooms from clay. Make pieces for potted plants, a reptile habitat, a desk, bookshelves, a kitchen counter, or a bathroom ledge. Personalize each creation with texture impressions, windows and doors, flowers, and dotted mushroom caps. The finished pieces make heartfelt keepsakes and gifts, and all skill levels are welcome. After the session, pieces dry for one week and are then kiln fired. One to two weeks later, return to add color with glazes, and no appointment is needed. If preferred, the studio can finish your work in a single color you select. The workshop includes clay, tools, glazes, and two kiln firings. Designed for adults and mature children, with a ticket required for each attendee to ensure seating. Wear sleeves that push up easily and minimal jewelry that can be tucked away. Expect a little mess from wet clay, but it washes out. Bringing a favorite drink is encouraged. There are no refunds or exchanges. Dancing Mindfulness with Kristi Ann

Explore conscious movement and meditation in a welcoming class with Kristi Ann at The Holistic Treehouse. This Dancing Mindfulness session blends free form dance with guided meditation in a community setting, inviting participants of any body type or skill level to move without concern for choreography or performance. Inspired by the work of Dr. Jamie Marich, a clinical counselor and traumatic stress expert, the practice centers on seven elements that support awareness and expression... breath, sound, body, mind, spirit, story, and fusion. Attendees cultivate present moment attention and the attitudes of mindfulness such as nonjudgment, patience, beginner’s mind, nonstriving, trust, acceptance, and letting go. The experience includes noticing the rhythms of breath and heartbeat, finding healing potential in simple movements, traveling through a three phase musical journey, expressing personal stories through dance, and connecting with others in a supportive environment. Kristi Ann, MS CMHC, is an integrative wellness coach who weaves training in mysticism, spiritual philosophies, expressive and intuitive arts, and energy work with formal education in clinical mental health counseling and psychology. She earned her Dancing Mindfulness Facilitator certification with the Mindful Journey Center in April 2026 and emphasizes living an extraordinary life one embodied moment at a time while honoring what is sacred in everyday experience. Another Round or Two Ride

A relaxed, full-day group motorcycle ride departs from Wawa in Chesapeake, VA, beginning with a brief safety talk before the group sets out. The route combines interstate stretches with quiet country roads and includes planned breaks and a lunch stop along the way. Riders will travel west on I-64, connect with I-664, continue on Route 58 west, then merge onto Route 10/32. The path follows scenic back roads through the Lake Prince area and Isle of Wight to a first stop in Wakefield. From there, the ride moves northeast across the James River into the New Kent area for a second stop, then continues to Manquin, VA for lunch at Another Round or 2, about 132 miles into the day. After lunch, the group heads south through West Point with a fuel stop near Taona, VA, then cruises more back roads to the Scotland Ferry for the final planned stop as the route crosses to Surry, VA. The ferry offers a quick photo opportunity with bikes and river views before the return leg. Once back on I-664, the organized portion concludes and riders can continue home at their own pace. The return segment is approximately 110 miles, with an estimated total of about 242 miles for the day. Please arrive with a full gas tank, dress for the weather, and bring an EZ Pass. The ride to and from the event is a closed ride for Ironclad HOG members with one guest per member. No impairing substances are allowed during a Chapter ride.

Mental Health & Wellness Educational Workshop by The Hormonal Therapist

Discover how monthly hormonal shifts shape mood, energy, focus, stress response, sleep, motivation, and overall well-being in a supportive, educational setting. This workshop explains the four phases of the menstrual cycle and details how changes in estrogen and progesterone can influence mental health, including anxiety, irritability, and emotional resilience. Participants will build a clearer picture of what is happening in their bodies throughout the month and learn practical ways to work with their cycle rather than against it. The session is designed for people who menstruate, as well as partners, family members, and professionals who want a deeper understanding of the connection between hormones and mental health. Expect evidence-based guidance presented in a judgment-free environment. Attendees can expect to leave with an understanding of the cycle’s phases and what commonly occurs during each, insight into how key hormones interact with the brain, perspective on typical emotional patterns across the month, clarity on how to distinguish everyday changes from conditions such as PMS and PMDD, and useful methods for tracking symptoms, supporting emotional wellness, and strengthening self-awareness. The workshop is led by Emalee Zingher, LPC, a trauma-informed therapist and educator known as The Hormonal Therapist, who integrates neuroscience, holistic care, and practical strategies to bridge hormones and mental health. Tickets are $17. This program provides psychoeducation on mental health, hormones, and wellness. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, and attending does not establish a therapist-client relationship. July 4th "Red, White and Blue" Free Concert

A concert unveils a new work that honors the American Revolution by bringing to life the real story of Susana Bolling. The narrative recounts how this teenager is said to have traveled under cover of night to warn the Marquis de Lafayette of a move by Cornwallis, a message credited with protecting Lafayette and contributing to the victory at Yorktown and, ultimately, the war’s outcome. Created by Virginia Beach playwright Gary Spell, the production features a full concert band alongside five teen performers who tell the tale through song. A fireworks show in Virginia Beach caps the celebration. Admission is free to the public, courtesy of IMGOING, the City of Virginia Beach, and the Tidewater Winds Concert Band.
