Set at Little Stony Man, this fall hike fundraiser follows the Little Stony Man to Stony Man Loop via the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah National Park. The route spans about 3 miles with roughly 797 feet of elevation gain and includes scenic viewpoints. In recognition of 15 years of The Right Weigh... God’s Way, a suggested donation of $15 supports its mission. Parking is $30 per vehicle for up to six people, and carpooling is encouraged. The experience emphasizes reflection and gratitude inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:1–2. Participants are encouraged to prepare for changing fall weather by dressing in layers and wearing sturdy hiking shoes and wool socks, and to bring a daypack with water, simple trail snacks such as apple slices, nuts, or granola, sunscreen, bug spray, and a basic first aid kit. Items for personal reflection like a devotional card, a journal, and a pen are also suggested, along with a brief prayer focus on embracing change and walking in wisdom. An optional post-hike group meal is planned at Spelunkers with burgers and custard.
