The format is drop in, so participation can fit different schedules. A children’s and creatives corner is available each week for those who prefer making or playing instead of conversation. Each week brings a different focus. The first Wednesday is a bring your own dinner social where people can enjoy their meal or share treats while chatting together. The second Wednesday features a small group discussion in the spirit of Soul Matters, with the option to bring dinner or snacks. The third Wednesday is the Newcomers Club, a time especially for those who are new to UU or to UUCL, for visitors, and for getting to know newer members and friends. The fourth Wednesday is UUCL Gives Back Community Service Night, with hands on projects such as assembling student weekend food bags, hygiene bags, birthday cake kits, and other helpful items. On the occasional fifth Wednesday, Sweet ComUUnity serves up ice cream with toppings provided, along with games and relaxed time to cool off in the summer.
