Part of the AFFW Summer Movie Series at the Federal Way Performing Arts & Event Center, this screening of Wreck-It Ralph follows an arcade villain who sets out to prove he can be a hero, traveling through vivid game worlds and discovering friendship, bravery, and the importance of staying true to yourself. Doors open one hour early for arcade and video game inspired crafts, pixel themed activities, and hero themed challenges. Concessions with popcorn, drinks, and other movie-time treats will be available for purchase. The film is rated PG, runs 101 minutes, and was released in 2012. Admission is free, made possible by Arts Foundation Federal Way and 4Culture, with reservations available online or at the box office on the night of the show. Heart By Heart brings the music of Heart to Puyallup Pioneer Park, featuring original members Steve Fossen on bass and Michael Derosier on drums alongside vocalist Somar Macek, multi-instrumentalist Lizzy Daymont on guitar, keyboards, and vocals, and guitarist Chad Quist. Fossen and Derosier, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Heart in 2013, lead a set devoted to the band’s classic catalog. The show features faithful renditions of Barracuda, Straight On, Crazy On You, Magic Man, Even It Up, Heartless, Kick It Out, and more, performed as they were written and recorded.

A mini production of the musical Hairspray is featured as part of The Dance Academy of Puyallup's Open House. Students from all levels of the academy’s summer musical theater classes have prepared selections from the show for this showcase. The Open House also includes refreshments, a bouncy castle, and an 18-foot, two lane inflatable slide. Guests can meet Anna and Elsa in the Princess Party Room. In addition to the Hairspray performance, the academy’s High Impact TEAM presents a separate showcase. Door prizes will be awarded during the Summer Musical Theater Showcase and during the High Impact showcase.

NW Magic’s Friday training offers a focused day of basketball development at Magic Courts NE in Northeast Tacoma. The schedule features an Attack Moves and Shooting Lab for grades 4 to 6 with Coach Ace, followed by an Elite Attack Moves and Shooting Lab for grades 7 through high school with Coach Ace. Coach Vanessa then leads Headstart Hoopers for grades K to 3, and the day concludes with Legacy League play for grades 4 to 8. Players work on practical, game-ready skills while building confidence and competing with purpose. The environment encourages teamwork and steady progress, with an emphasis on consistent training. The series is dedicated to developing players and fostering leadership so athletes can train, develop, and elevate.

Organized by VFW Auxiliary 91, this community swap meet invites sellers to secure a table and offer secondhand goods, with vendor registration required. Shoppers can explore the tables for bargains and one-of-a-kind finds.

The 25th Reunion will be held at the Griot's Garage Flagship Retail store. Attendance is free, and the event will not be judged. The lawn will showcase watercooled VW and Audi vehicles, and a dedicated display section is planned for surviving cars that have appeared at Waterwagens before, whether or not they earned a trophy. Participants who no longer drive a VW or Audi are welcome to bring their current fun or project car.

Northwest Magic trainers present an afternoon of basketball development at First Creek Middle School, with a focus on building confidence, sharpening fundamentals, and getting players ready for the summer tournament season. The lineup includes options for grades 4 to 6 such as skill development with Coach Knight, a Shot Lab with Coach Ace, and a Fundamentals and Complete Skills session with Coach Le’Asia. Athletes in grades 7 through high school can take part in the Elite Shot Lab with Coach Ace, and post players from grades 4 through high school can work in the Elite Big Lab with Coach Gena. The structure supports players at different stages, guiding them through targeted drills and instruction to elevate their game.

The History Room offers drop-in hours for anyone interested in exploring Puyallup’s history. It is located on the library’s second floor.

Venardos Circus brings a Broadway-style, animal-free circus experience to Point Defiance Park. Created by former Ringling Bros. Ringmaster Kevin Venardos, the show blends top-tier circus artistry with the flair of a musical production beneath a custom red and white striped tent. The atmosphere recalls the golden age of the traveling circus and features aerialists, acrobats, jugglers, hand-balancers, comedic performers, daredevils, magicians, and more. Doors open one hour before showtime with preshow entertainment and photo opportunities. Classic treats including popcorn, cotton candy, and house-made all-natural pink lemonade are available. The main performance runs about 90 minutes with a brief intermission. Free parking is available onsite. A full schedule is posted on the official website, and tickets are offered only through the official Venardos Circus site. Tickets from resellers or private social media offers are not accepted.
