    Host Peter Andre leads a free, hands-on walking tour at Andre Acres focused on how to plant and care for prairie habitat. He will describe how his family converted the landscape into three different prairies that now total nearly 21 acres of habitat, then a panel of specialists will share practical guidance on establishment, prescribed fire, and pollinator insects while answering questions. Participants can expect about two miles of walking. Wear sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle. Limited rides for those needing mobility assistance may be arranged in advance.     Drop in for pony rides and stay for the other fun at DENN. Reservations are not required, simply check in and pay when you arrive. Rides are $15 for five laps around the corral. Each horse is led on a lead line by a trainer. Riders must be older than one year and weigh 80 pounds or less. Helmets are required and sanitized helmets are provided. An activity agreement must be signed before riding. You may assist your child during the ride if you would like, and photos are welcome. This is not a petting zoo, so only paid riders may interact with the ponies. Hours and availability may change without notice due to weather and live animals.
