Guided by Kate Jenkins, an experienced trail runner on the Fusion team, this event welcomes every pace and experience level and focuses on building confidence in trail running, walking, and hiking while taking in the beauty of the state. Routes are mapped, marked, and supported by Fusion Footwear Ambassadors, with distances that vary slightly by location and a target of about a 5k (3.1 miles). Rain or shine, the group heads out, and at each stop participants can try demo trail shoes from brands such as Altra, Topo, Hoka, and Brooks. The program is $25 for an individual or $40 for a family and includes monthly emails from Coach Kate, a supported and clearly marked course, healthy snacks, hydration, and access to shoe demos. Optional add ons include a Wisconsin State Park Pass and Where the Pavement Ends apparel, with choices of a short sleeve for $10, a long sleeve for $15, or a hoodie for $25.
