Revving Up Support for Addy: A Benefit for Addison Ciesielski and Family

Springville Sports Barn, 2811 Plover Springs Dr, Plover · verified Sep 6
    See details

This community benefit at Springville Sports Barn supports Addison Ciesielski and her family as they manage complex medical needs that began soon after birth. After time in the NICU, testing showed seizure activity from multiple areas of her brain that required several medications, which led to the need for oxygen and a feeding tube. Genetic testing later identified a DXML-2 deletion associated with developmental epilepsy encephalopathy, a rare condition linked to difficult-to-control seizures, developmental delays, low muscle tone, and a progressive, life-limiting course. Addison has undergone surgery to place a feeding tube and remains under the care of neurology and genetics specialists. Her family is working closely with providers, loved ones, and broader networks to explore every possible option for her long-term quality of life while preparing for the challenges of home care and time away from work. Proceeds from this benefit will help with medical expenses, caregiving needs, and related costs. Those wishing to donate a raffle basket or volunteer can contact Amy or Colin Reffner.
