Kraken Swim Club will participate in United Way’s Day of Caring, coming together with the community to create a positive difference. The effort is open to all.

Support the Pettis family through a Halloween BYOP doubles disc golf fundraiser at Big Eau Pleine County Park in Mosinee. The event was organized after Matt and Melissa Pettis found their son unresponsive following a nap and he was airlifted to Marshfield Medical Center, creating added expenses and lost income as they focus on his care. Teams will play one round of 19 holes. Entry is $25 per team. This is a 50/50 payout tournament, with half of entry fees paid out and half donated to the Pettis family.

Learn easy and fun looks for medium to long hair with guidance from a professional stylist. This session is designed for children ages 8 to 11 attending with their adult. Space is limited, so registration is required.

The Miss Wisconsin Rapids and Miss Wisconsin’s Teen Competition at the Performing Arts Center of Wisconsin Rapids will crown the 50th Miss Wisconsin Rapids along with the new Miss Wisconsin Rapids’ Teen. Tickets will be available for purchase.

Pick up a map, then follow the trail of Cougar Paws to each stop, enter for door prizes, and explore some of Mid-State’s programs and activities along the way. A Halloween themed clinic at Marshfield Clinic, Marshfield Medical Center Wisconsin Rapids Campus offers pediatric flu shots alongside festive fun. Children are welcome to wear costumes while getting vaccinated. Walk ins are welcome, no appointment required. Flu shots are available for kids 6 months through 18 years, and parents and guardians may receive their vaccines during the clinic as well.
