    Ready, Set, Cook! is a hands-on, six week cooking course for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities who want to build confidence and independence in the kitchen. Each session includes preparing food while learning how to use tools and appliances safely, prevent common accidents, apply basic first aid for minor cuts and burns, follow and adapt recipes, practice sanitation and food safety, avoid cross contamination, manage cooking times and understand safe food temperatures, plan meals, shop on a budget, read labels and price tags, store food properly, handle leftovers, and use adapted techniques and tools to increase independence. The course also addresses how to recognize emergencies, create a contact card, know when to ask for help, and stay focused with fewer distractions. Parents, guardians, and caregivers are welcome to attend at no additional cost. Support persons learn how to encourage independence while offering the right amount of supervision, decide when to adjust support, include individuals safely in everyday cooking, respond calmly to both emergency and non emergency situations, and connect with other families and caregivers. Participants and their support people gain practical skills, greater independence, and meaningful connections in a structured and welcoming environment.

Routes are mapped, marked, and supported by Fusion Footwear Ambassadors, with distances that vary slightly by location and a target of about a 5k (3.1 miles). Rain or shine, the group heads out, and at each stop participants can try demo trail shoes from brands such as Altra, Topo, Hoka, and Brooks. The program is $25 for an individual or $40 for a family and includes monthly emails from Coach Kate, a supported and clearly marked course, healthy snacks, hydration, and access to shoe demos. Optional add ons include a Wisconsin State Park Pass and Where the Pavement Ends apparel, with choices of a short sleeve for $10, a long sleeve for $15, or a hoodie for $25.     Experience an outdoor mindful flow yoga class at the Rib Mountain Amphitheater in Wausau Rib Mountain State Park, now in its 17th year. Move through a breath-guided sequence of postures that encourages grounding and spaciousness, with occasional pauses for guided breathing practices and brief meditation. Each class concludes with relaxation, supporting physical health, stress management, and mental and emotional well-being while helping participants reconnect with what matters most. This session is led by Heather Van Dalfsen, MEd, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, a Certified Yoga Therapist and Pilates teacher. Modifications are offered throughout. Please be mindful of wrists, knees, back, and shoulders. An extra blanket or towel can add comfort, and benches at the amphitheater are available if needed. Practice spaces may be set up in the amphitheater or nearby grassy areas. Bring a yoga mat, blankets for cushioning and relaxation, water, and bug spray. Dressing in layers, including socks and a jacket, is recommended since temperatures on the mountain can vary. Pre-registration is required. Please complete your waiver in advance and purchase a class pass or monthly membership before attending. Pricing options include a $20 single pass, $54 for a 4-class pass, $87 for an 8-class pass, and a new student introduction offer of 30 days for $35. Weather is monitored for safety and classes may be canceled in advance or end early if conditions change. Some attendees choose to hike up the mountain and meet behind the church next to Bone and Joint along the west tree line, and many students offer rides down the mountain if needed.
