Dementia Friends is a movement focused on building better understanding of dementia within the community. This free one hour session offers a clear overview of the condition, practical techniques for engaging with loved ones who are living with dementia, and guidance on ways to help make the community more dementia friendly. Free concerts fill the square in the heart of Downtown Flagstaff all summer, showcasing performances by local musicians. Visitors can pick up a to-go coffee, lunch, or dinner from nearby spots and enjoy a picnic while the music plays. It is a relaxed way to unwind, savor good food, and support local talent throughout the season. The 2026 series is presented with support from Old Town Shops, Liv Sky Cottages, and Findlay Toyota.

High Country Humane presents a special two-day event that provides no-cost spay and neuter surgeries as well as free core vaccinations for dogs and cats. Dogs receive the DAPP vaccine and cats receive the FVRCP vaccine. Participation is limited to residents of Coconino County. Eligibility requires proof of a low-income qualifier, which can include Medicaid/AHCCCS, Women, Infants, and Children, SNAP food assistance, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Insurance, or unemployment benefits. Households with income under $51,000 per year, and members of the Navajo Nation within Coconino County, also qualify. Appointments are required and space is limited. Additional services are available for a fee, including a rabies vaccination with dog licensing, pain medication, e-collars, and microchipping.

This farmers market at Munds Ranch & Community Gardens in Munds Park features fresh produce from small local farms, along with honey, jams, pickles, salsa, breads, and other baked goods. Local bakers, makers, and creators offer foods to enjoy on the spot, take home for later, or freeze for another day. Every vendor is a small business owner from the area, and live music adds a lively backdrop. The market runs rain or shine, and parking is plentiful.
