Handicap limits apply for both men and women, along with an 8-stroke maximum handicap difference between partners. Each player uses a set percentage of their course handicap for play.

The Highlander Classic Disc Golf Tournament brings a Scotch Doubles experience to Flagstaff, Arizona, sponsored by Findlay Toyota Flagstaff. Teams play a true modified alternate shot format for the entire round, choosing who opens the first tee and alternating every throw after that. The competition features two rounds along with a Putting Contest. The contest carries a separate entry fee, is open to those not playing in the tournament, and awards a winner take all cash prize if minimum participation is met. Each tournament entrant receives one contest entry with registration, and fees are refunded if the minimum is not reached. Food and refreshments are provided by Fratelli Pizza, Swire Coca Cola, and Historic Brewing, with beverages, pizza, and a BBQ potluck planned and details to come. Expect payouts and trophies after the final round, plus CTPs, raffles, prizes, food, and drinks. This unsanctioned event keeps the focus on fun and making a positive impact on the community and the sport of disc golf. In partnership with Findlay Toyota Flagstaff, proceeds will benefit a local Flagstaff charity to be announced. Past beneficiaries include the Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff, Shadows Foundation, Friends of Coconino County Parks, and Flagstaff Disc Golf Club. Courses are to be determined.

Participants meet at the Trinity Heights United Methodist parking lot for a hands-on day focused on maintaining existing trails and building new sections. This recurring effort takes place every second Saturday from June through September, offering a regular chance to make a positive impact while spending time outdoors. Live music is part of the experience. The market runs rain or shine and offers plenty of parking.

This multi-generational beginner archery clinic is a hands-on introduction to archery for anyone with no prior experience. You’ll learn the basics of using beginner-friendly equipment, key terminology, and important shooting safety and range etiquette, then get plenty of time to practice. Pre-registration is required, and youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Verde Canyon Railroad offers a Saturday evening starlight experience that begins in daylight and glides into night. This four-hour train ride travels through Verde Canyon as the setting sun bathes Arizona cliffs and sky in vivid color. As twilight settles, there may be opportunities to glimpse wildlife along the quiet canyon walls. With darkness, a clear desert sky reveals bright constellations far from city glow, or the route may be illuminated by a full moon, depending on the phase overhead. Rugged rock faces can appear to take on familiar shapes in the glow, adding a sense of wonder to a scenic journey that spans sunset to star-filled skies.

Discover Flagstaff and The Orpheum present Honeygirl & The Sundusters at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff as part of The Music of Route 66 Concert Series, a celebration of the sounds tied to Historic Route 66. This all-ages concert brings Arizona country and rock to a storied stage. Honeygirl is a country singer and songwriter from Queen Creek, Arizona, known for vivid storytelling, energetic performances, and a style that blends classic country roots with a rock-tinged edge. The band is led by vocalist and songwriter Kira Brown and features seasoned musicians, including Scotty Johnson of the Gin Blossoms. Expect a lively mix of heartfelt originals alongside crowd-pleasing covers. Brown’s passion for music grew while watching her father play bass at weekly garage jam sessions, and she first found the spotlight as a local “Kiraoke” favorite before turning that momentum into a country career. Songwriting became a central focus through an organic collaboration with guitarist Scotty Johnson of the Grammy-nominated Arizona band Gin Blossoms. The Orpheum Theater is a historic indoor venue in downtown Flagstaff. On-site parking is not available. A full bar and concessions are offered, and outside food or beverages are not permitted. Empty, soft, clear water bottles are allowed, while metal, hard plastic, and insulated bottles are not. The venue generally maintains a no re-entry policy unless otherwise stated. A clear bag policy is in effect. Guests may bring a clear stadium bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches or a one-gallon clear zip bag. Small non-clear wristlets up to 4 x 6 x 1 inches are permitted, and diaper or medical bags are allowed and subject to search. No other bags are permitted, there is no bag storage on site, and clear bags are available for purchase.
