Each month, downtown Flagstaff comes alive for a community art walk that spotlights local creativity. Studios, galleries, boutiques, eateries, and other venues open in the evening to feature works across many mediums, including painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and live performance. Guests can wander from stop to stop, talk with artists, hear live music, and soak in the upbeat spirit of the arts scene. Whether building a collection or looking for a fun night out, the experience offers an easy, walkable way to connect with culture close to home. The 2026 series is made possible by support from Dapper Dre, which helps power Car-Free First Fridays with select street closures dedicated to art and performance activations.

Enjoy a free evening of lively, high-quality folk music and participatory arts at the Wild Flagstaff Concert Series. The program brings a rotating mix of regional and visiting artists, plus local musicians, with concerts and community-oriented programming rooted in traditional music and dance. The focus is on living cultural traditions, with musical styles and themes from across the Southwest and beyond, including fiddle tunes, borderlands dance music, Celtic and other folk roots, along with storytelling and community spirit.

Discover Flagstaff and The Orpheum present a Music of Route 66 Concert Series performance featuring the Nolan McKelvey Band with Pilcrowe at the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff. This all-ages show highlights the spirit of Americana and the sounds inspired by the famed highway. For three decades, Arizona-based musician and songwriter Nolan McKelvey has worked across alt country, bluegrass, classic country, and rock and roll, earning praise from outlets including No Depression, Country Standard Time, The Boston Phoenix, The Boston Globe, and Performer Magazine. He has appeared alongside artists such as Greg Brown, Peter Rowan, Los Lobos, Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Tim O’Brien, Jerry Douglas, Leon Russell, Jack Johnson, Son Volt, and Josh Ritter. His studio work includes collaborations with Levon Helm and members of Morphine, and his contributions span more than 75 recordings. Pilcrowe, the long-running project from drummer Andrew Lauher and guitarist Ryan Heinsius, blends folk-rooted songwriting with a gritty rock energy shaped by the landscapes of northern Arizona and the greater Southwest. Their 2025 album These Badlands on Woody Mountain Records explores resilience in the face of environmental and personal challenges, pairing acoustic textures with harder-edged electric moments, lush harmonies, and unexpected rhythmic turns. Their catalog also includes West of Center and The Big Burn EP, and their first live album is on the way, captured during an intimate acoustic set at Flagstaff’s Coconino Center for the Arts. The Orpheum Theater is an indoor, historic venue in the heart of downtown. Venue policies include a clear bag requirement, no re-entry unless specified by the show, and no outside food or beverages. A full bar and concessions are available, and empty soft clear water bottles are permitted. On-site parking is not available and bag storage is not provided. Tickets are the same price at the box office and online.

This all-ages concert brings Arizona country and rock to a storied stage. Honeygirl is a country singer and songwriter from Queen Creek, Arizona, known for vivid storytelling, energetic performances, and a style that blends classic country roots with a rock-tinged edge. The band is led by vocalist and songwriter Kira Brown and features seasoned musicians, including Scotty Johnson of the Gin Blossoms. Expect a lively mix of heartfelt originals alongside crowd-pleasing covers. Brown’s passion for music grew while watching her father play bass at weekly garage jam sessions, and she first found the spotlight as a local “Kiraoke” favorite before turning that momentum into a country career. Songwriting became a central focus through an organic collaboration with guitarist Scotty Johnson of the Grammy-nominated Arizona band Gin Blossoms. The Orpheum Theater is a historic indoor venue in downtown Flagstaff. On-site parking is not available. A full bar and concessions are offered, and outside food or beverages are not permitted. Empty, soft, clear water bottles are allowed, while metal, hard plastic, and insulated bottles are not. The venue generally maintains a no re-entry policy unless otherwise stated. A clear bag policy is in effect. Guests may bring a clear stadium bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches or a one-gallon clear zip bag. Small non-clear wristlets up to 4 x 6 x 1 inches are permitted, and diaper or medical bags are allowed and subject to search. No other bags are permitted, there is no bag storage on site, and clear bags are available for purchase.

This community drum class explores traditional rhythms from West Africa and welcomes participants of all ages and experience levels. Learn and play together in a supportive setting.
