Presented by The Canyon, blues rock guitarist Orianthi takes the spotlight with the fiery playing and soulful vocals that have defined her 25-year career. To mark this milestone, she wrote, produced, and recorded her single First Time Blues at Robby Krieger’s Love Street Sound studio for Woodward Avenue Records, cutting it live after honing it on stage. The track features Justin Andres on bass and vocals, Carey Frank on keyboards, Nick Maybury on electric and acoustic guitar, and Elias Mallin on drums, with a second guitar solo contributed by three-time Grammy nominee Joe Bonamassa. Australian-born and based in Los Angeles, Orianthi began performing professionally at thirteen and has collaborated with Carlos Santana, Steve Vai, Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora, and Dave Stewart. She was chosen for Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour and appears in the concert film, has released multiple solo albums since her 2005 debut Violet Journey, performed on American Idol, and played the Grammys alongside Carrie Underwood. Her achievements include recognition by Elle magazine among its 12 greatest female electric guitarists and Guitar International’s Breakthrough Guitarist of the Year honor. The 29th Annual Fall Harvest Festival brings a giant pumpkin patch and a full farm experience with pick-your-own fruit, vegetables, and flowers. The grounds are filled with games, rides, photo spots, live entertainment, themed weekends, bands, and more. Weekend schedules include performances, demonstrations, and all entertainment. Tractor-drawn wagon rides circle the farm, and daily visits to the Animal Center offer time with the animals. Admission varies by day. Weekday entry is sold at the gate only, while weekend admission is available online only. Weekend tickets are issued for specific dates and entry windows; guests may arrive at the start of their chosen window up until the next one. Have tickets ready on your phone or printed for faster entry. All visitors go through a security screening. Tickets are nonrefundable, but holders can transfer to another available date or time within the festival at the same price when space allows. Online tickets are required on weekends with timed entries in accordance with County of Ventura guidelines. With 50 acres to explore there is room to spread out, though popular attractions can have lines at peak times. A reserved entry time spaces arrivals and is not a private tour. Billed as America’s largest interactive comedy murder mystery dinner experience, The Dinner Detective brings its whodunit to Thousand Oaks. Geoff Tate brings the final chapter of Operation: Mindcrime to The Canyon Club & Special Events Center, pairing the music with a live string ensemble and a laser light show. Guests under 18 must attend with an adult. A Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer and songwriter, Tate is known as the longtime lead vocalist and a driving creative force behind Queensrÿche. Over more than three decades, the band sold over 20 million albums and toured in more than 50 countries, earning a reputation for ambitious, influential rock. The 1988 concept epic Operation: Mindcrime became a touchstone that drew comparisons to classics like Tommy and The Wall. Its successor Empire surpassed three million copies sold and delivered Silent Lucidity, the group’s first Top 10 single and a Grammy-nominated hit. After his departure, Tate launched projects under the Operation: Mindcrime banner, releasing a trilogy of concept albums between 2015 and 2017, and he continues to tour internationally celebrating this legacy.

The lineup also includes Royce Jones on vocals, Keith Carlock on drums, Bob Shephard on saxophone, Grant Geissman, lead guitarist with Chuck Mangione, Oz Noy on guitar, Yaron Gershovsky on keyboards with Manhatten Transfer, and Will Lee on bass from the Late Show with David Letterman. A full backing band with vocalists will perform the music like the original recordings. The Michael Lemmo Band opens the show.
