    Mat Pilates

Sarasota Garden Club, 1131 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota
    Free

Enjoy a free mat-based Pilates class at The Bay presented by BODYBAR Pilates. Skilled instructors guide a sequence that centers on core strength while supporting overall stability, balance, and body awareness. Many participants find it helps ease stress and discomfort and supports general well-being. All ages and ability levels are welcome. Please bring a mat and water. When fitness activities move indoors, two back-to-back 45 minute sessions are offered to provide ample space and a smooth experience. The first session requires registration, and high demand means space is otherwise limited. The class takes place rain or shine. Weather conditions may lead to an indoor location, and in rare situations without an indoor option the class may be canceled. Any updates will be shared through The Bay’s website calendar and social channels including Eventbrite, Facebook, and Instagram. Free parking is available around the site, including lots along Blvd of the Arts and in front of Van Wezel, the Municipal Auditorium, and the Blue Pagoda. Please avoid spaces reserved for the Sarasota Orchestra. Ongoing construction near the new Town Square may change pedestrian routes between the lot along N. Tamiami Trail and venues west of Van Wezel Way. Follow posted signs and allow extra time to walk. Pets must be non-aggressive, on a leash, and cleaned up after. Unsafe behavior can be reported to the Sarasota non-emergency police. BODYBAR Pilates aims to nurture a community that inspires and encourages one another to be strong, healthy, and happy, and advances that mission by empowering values-driven entrepreneurs to open studios and share the brand’s approach more widely. Friends of The Bay help sustain beloved programs and maintain green spaces so these events can remain free for everyone.
