Meet Greg Susla, the volunteer and retired critical care pharmacist who tends the medicinal herb garden at the Pry House Field Hospital on the Antietam National Battlefield. Over the years he has planted, cared for, and expanded a 19th-century garden with more than 35 varieties, reflecting herbs that would have been grown in the Mid-Atlantic during that period. Visitors can watch him at work in the garden, hear about upcoming plans, and learn how these plants relate to Civil War medical care.
