Get ready for the STAR AquaCenter Summer Splash open water swim in the calm, protected bay waters of Sag Harbor. Choose your distance for the 1 Mile, .5 Mile, or .25 Mile swim. There will be an on-site race briefing required 15 minutes before your race start, and start times and course details may change, so check with the race organizers. Each participant receives a swim cap, race medal, and pre- and post-race refreshments, and there will be live results plus free finish line photos. Awards are given for the top 3 finishers (men and women) in each distance.

The “Sag Harbor in the Revolution” symposium is a day of presentations bringing together scholars and historians to explore the British occupation of Long Island from 1776 through 1783, a major turning point in Sag Harbor’s history.

Join a plein air painting class at SOFO, part of a summer series offered through the Bridgehampton Museum. Registration is $20 and is limited to 15 students per class.

Conrad Herwig brings his quintet to Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation for a program honoring the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis and John Coltrane. A Grammy nominee on trombone who also composes, arranges, and teaches, Herwig is active in straight ahead jazz and Afro Latin styles, with credits that include work alongside Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Paquito D’Rivera, Joe Henderson, Tom Harrell, and Clark Terry. Inspired by his long-running Latin Side concept, the set reframes music associated with Davis and Coltrane through Afro Caribbean and Latin jazz grooves, with contemporary rhythm, improvisation, and tight ensemble interplay offering new angles on themes from pivotal recordings and a lasting legacy. This performance will be recorded for future broadcast on WLIW-FM.

GRAMMY recipient and trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti takes the stage for an evening of refined artistry, heartfelt expression, and superb musicianship. Known for a soaring tone and a cinematic sensibility, he has appeared at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House and has collaborated with Sting, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, and Lady Gaga.
