Jordan's Run Veterans' Memorial 5K Run/Walk is a USATF-certified event that is part of the Suffolk County Veterans Run Series. The route showcases historic Sag Harbor Village, passing Pierson High School, the harbor and windmill, and includes a loop over and back on the NYS Lance Cpl. Veterans' Memorial Bridge named in honor of LCpl Jordan C. Haerter. Participants also pass a marina near the second water stop where he worked during the summer, along with Oakland Cemetery, where he rests. The run honors Jordan Haerter, who grew up in Sag Harbor, graduated from Pierson High School in 2006, completed boot camp at Parris Island later that year to become a United States Marine, served with 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, and deployed to Ramadi, Iraq, in March 2008. Bay Street TheaterActing For Musicals – Intermediate/Advanced : SUMMER CAMP (Ages 11–17)
This weeklong intermediate and advanced musical theater camp at Bay Street Theater helps young performers deepen their storytelling through song and scene. Geared toward ages 11–17, the program focuses on acting, vocal work, and movement to build authentic, dynamic performances supported by strong technique. Students explore tools such as attentive listening, clear objectives and tactics, imaginative play, text analysis, speech, movement, and memory strategies. Each participant is assigned at least one solo along with its related scene and receives personalized coaching throughout the week. The experience wraps up with a sharing for friends and family. Enrollment is limited to 10 students and requires either a teacher recommendation or an audition. Tuition is $649. The camp is led by teaching artist Bethany Dellapolla, Director of Education and Community Outreach at Bay Street Theater, an experienced performer, director, choreographer, and educator whose students have progressed to Broadway, regional productions, film, and competitive collegiate programs. She fosters a professional, supportive environment that builds confidence and skill.

Part of the McIver Piano Series, pianist Bill O’Connell joins percussionist Richie Flores for an intimate duo that fuses Latin jazz vitality, rich groove, and spirited improvisation. Their performance blends original works with interpretations from the Latin jazz tradition, shaping a conversation driven by rhythm and melody. O’Connell is a pianist, composer, arranger, and bandleader with longstanding ties to both Latin and straight ahead jazz, having performed and recorded with Mongo Santamaria, Dave Valentin, Sonny Rollins, and Chet Baker while also leading many projects of his own. Flores is a percussionist acclaimed across Afro Caribbean, Latin jazz, and jazz circles, a frequent collaborator with Gato Barbieri, David Sánchez, Eddie Palmieri, and Hilton Ruiz, noted for his dynamic rhythmic voice and deep connection to Afro Puerto Rican music. The performance will be recorded for future broadcast on WLIW-FM.
