Set along the waterfront in Marine Park, this fall arts and crafts fair is the second of two yearly artisan showcases presented by the Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce. Visitors can wander beside luxury yachts and steps from historic Main Street while discovering a curated mix of fine paintings, handmade pottery, custom photography, artisan jewelry, and other original works available for purchase. The fair unfolds within a larger village celebration that highlights Sag Harbor’s maritime heritage. Long Wharf comes alive with live music, family activities, great food, beer and wine, and dozens of vendors reflecting the area’s cultural and artistic traditions. Whaleboat races and a classic boat display honor seafaring roots, while children’s amusements and games on Long Wharf and Windmill Beach keep younger guests busy. The weekend also features beach yoga where participants bring their own blanket or towel, a farmers market on the waterfront, and A Taste of Sag Harbor with local flavors. The Annual “725” Art Show & Sale spotlights artists connected to the historic phone exchange, and The Wharf Shop hosts both a scrimshaw and whaling story time for ages 5 to 10 by reservation and a charming rocking dory boat photo opportunity for little captains. Live music is woven throughout the festivities with appearances by the Sag Harbor Community Band, Julia King, Bonac Strings, Bryan Gallo, M Takes the Mic, Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks, The HooDoo Loungers, Brad Penuel, George Howard & The Moderators, Alfredo Merat, Mighty Ramon & The Phantoms of Soul, ECC & The Constituency, and the Scofflaws. Steinbeck Park’s lounge offers additional performances along with local beer, wine, sake, and food. Sailing enthusiasts can book daytime and sunset trips aboard Luna, a 74 foot schooner departing from the end of Long Wharf. Friendly competitions range from clam shucking and a clam chowder contest that includes a commemorative HarborFest mug to children’s potato sack races, tug of war, and hula hoop fun, culminating in the Firefighters’ Cup and championship whaleboat races. Heritage highlights include exhibits at the Eastville Historical Society Heritage House and at St. David AME Zion Church, a tour of the Old Whalers’ Church with a working pipe organ demonstration, a living history service, and a guided walk through the Old Burying Grounds. Additional attractions include a fire and juggling show by Keith Leaf, a pancake breakfast hosted by the Sag Harbor Fire Department, and a gospel concert with a soul food dinner at the Eastville Historical Society with a suggested donation. Festivities also include a kickoff cocktail party at the Hannibal French House benefiting the Sag Harbor Historical Museum. Bay Street Theater presents The Howl, a one night music celebration with Nancy Atlas, her band, and special guests, with proceeds supporting music programs at Pierson Middle High School through Atlas for the Arts.

Support Guide Dogs for the Blind & Assistance Dogs for Returning Veterans in this 5k and 10k fundraiser. Registration opens at 7 AM and the race kicks off at 9 AM.

This ride moves at a moderate pace and covers about 20 to 25 miles. The route crosses Shelter Island, takes the North Ferry to Greenport, continues to Oyster Ponds, and returns to North Haven. The meeting point is North Haven Village Hall in North Haven. Please bring fare for both ferry rides.

The Bridgehampton Museum presents the opening of Sagg Swamp, a new exhibition by acclaimed artist and Bridgehampton native Laurie Lambrecht, at The Nathaniel Rogers House. Over more than ten years, Lambrecht has returned to Sagg Swamp to observe its trees, knotted branches, water, lichen, and thick undergrowth through photography and handcraft. The show brings together photographs with textiles, knitting, weaving, and stitched pieces shaped by that landscape, tracing the patterns, textures, and natural rhythms of one of the South Fork’s most biodiverse wetlands. It offers a quiet, close look at a place that has been a refuge and ongoing source of inspiration for Lambrecht’s creative practice.

An old-fashioned barn dance brings 19th century contra dancing to the historic Sayre Barn at the Southampton History Museum in Southampton. Dance caller Chart Guthrie will teach each figure and keep the room moving, making it accessible for first-timers and engaging for seasoned dancers. Live traditional tunes from Mary Nagin, Maria Fairchild, and Larry Moser drive the action as participants flow through changing sets, circles, and squares. Comfortable clothing and shoes that allow easy movement are recommended. Attendees can come with friends or on their own. No partner or prior experience is required. Admission is free, though space is limited and RSVP is requested.
