Hands-on Volunteer Work Parties with the Downtown Hive offer a way to get involved in the Downtown Hillsboro community. Pre-race packet pickup is available so participants can collect shirts and other race materials in advance. Clear course markings, mile and kilometer indicators, and volunteers will guide each route, and the 10k covers the 5k loop twice. There are no restrooms on the course, but water and restrooms are available after the race. Law enforcement will be on site to assist with traffic, and emergencies should be reported by calling 911. Category winners will be announced on the event website. Participants must be 18 or have parental permission if younger, agree to and sign a liability waiver, be medically and physically prepared, and follow all event rules and instructions. There is also an opportunity to make an additional donation during registration to support Forest Grove Lions sight programs, or donations can be made by check with “Run/Walk for Sight fund” noted. Eyeglasses and hearing aids will be collected for the Lions foundation.

Experience compact, tactical Age of Sigmar battles in a monthly Spearhead league that provides consistent opportunities to play. Participants can complete up to one game each week, with victory points tallied across the month. Hobby progress counts toward the standings as well, awarding 10 victory points for every unit from a Spearhead that is built and painted during the month. The highest total at the end of the month earns a spot on the Wall of Honor. There is no fee to take part, and weekly games can be played during regular Sigmar Saturday or the Saturday League Night dedicated to these matchups. Players will need a Spearhead force along with one of the current Spearhead sets, choosing from Fire & Jade, Sand & Bone, or City of Ash.
