Build practical emergency care skills with hands-on instruction in wilderness first aid, CPR/AED, and standard first aid at the Longhorn Council Hurst Service Center, offered in collaboration with the American Red Cross. Choose from a two day wilderness first aid program that also provides CPR/AED and standard first aid, a combined standard first aid with CPR/AED class, or a focused CPR/AED refresher. Fees are $140 for the wilderness course with a $160 non-Scout rate, $55 for the standard first aid with CPR/AED course with a $90 non-Scout rate, and $30 for the CPR/AED only option with a $40 non-Scout rate. Wilderness participants must be at least 14 and attend both days, and part of the training takes place outdoors so dressing for the weather is recommended. Meals are provided for lunch and dinner on the first day and lunch on the second day.
