At Northwest ISD Stadium, an annual community pep rally spotlights all Byron Nelson High School athletics teams and clubs for the 26-27 year. Vendors and food trucks will be available beforehand, offering time to grab a bite and browse before the rally gets underway.

Gear Up 4 School is a no cost community gathering featuring school supplies, vision screenings, Kona Ice, caricature artists, and more. Be cautious of anyone attempting to sell tickets or vendor spaces, because admission is free and no ticket is required. Students need to attend in person to receive supplies and services, which are offered on a first come basis until supplies run out. Some services may wrap up before everything concludes due to time limitations. Parking options include street parking and designated cash parking available in accessible lots. Unity One Credit Union is not responsible for parking or towing issues that occur at nearby businesses.

RBBI Barber School hosts its annual Back to School Community Event, created to help students begin the year with confidence. Students in pre-K through 12th grade can receive free haircuts from student practitioners working alongside licensed volunteer barbers. Families can also pick up free backpacks and school supplies while supplies last, enjoy complimentary food and drinks, and visit a community pop-up market with resources and giveaways. Services are offered on a first come, first serve basis. RSVP is encouraged so organizers can plan enough staff, volunteers, supplies, backpacks, and food. Community members may support the event as donors, with contributions directed to school supplies, event setup and logistics, and food and resources for attendees, and donors receive recognition on social media. A limited number of vendor and sponsor opportunities are available, giving vendors a chance to connect with local families and share free resources or swag, while sponsors receive event and marketing recognition. Featured sponsors are included in the shirt design and receive a shirt. The focus is on serving the community, supporting families, and empowering students to enter the school year feeling prepared and confident.

FWCC presents the second annual B2S Bash, supporting FWISD students in grades K through 12 with supplies, backpacks, uniforms, haircuts, and more. Attendees can pick up essential items or enjoy the celebration. Registration is required this year, and participation is limited to currently enrolled FWISD students in K through 12. Pre-K supplies are provided by FWISD.

Stroll through Taylor’s historic downtown on a guided walking tour that highlights remarkable architecture, the city’s rich past, and the revitalization efforts shaping its future. Led by a member of the Main Street Advisory Board, this experience offers both a step back in time and a look ahead. Starting locations rotate by month: in January, April, July, and October the tour begins at Haciendo Coffee Roasters, in February, May, August, and November it starts at Ripple & Rose Cafe, and in March, June, September, and December it departs from Curbside Coffee Co.

A presentation revisits Fort Worth’s tradition of youth camping by highlighting historic camps such as Camp Holland, Camp Carter, Camp Ruth Lubin, and Worth Ranch. It examines how these places shaped childhood experiences in the city and reflects on the culture, memories, and legacy they left behind.

A weekly Pokémon TCG tournament welcomes local players every Saturday. The prize structure rotates, with some weeks featuring an Elite Trainer Box and other weeks awarding packs based on wins. Updates and community conversations are shared on Discord to help local groups connect.

An after hours family swim at Marine Park Swimming Pool gives families time to splash, play, and enjoy the water together in the evening. Re-entry is required.

Hosted by Catch Thez Handz, Barbers United, and Visionary Taxes, the 11th Annual Community Back to Skool Bash at Handley-Meadowbrook Community Center focuses on helping Fort Worth students and families get ready for a new school year with free school supplies, haircuts, loc retwists, braids, food, raffles, and more. The event is seeking vendors, including business owners, community organizations, churches, social clubs, car and bike clubs, barbers, hairstylists, and entrepreneurs. Vendors are asked to donate 25 fully stocked backpacks or make a monetary donation, and to bring their own tablecloth. Participation offers a chance to showcase a business or organization, meet hundreds of local families, build community connections, and support students and families in need. Prospective vendors can request registration details and additional information by sending a direct message.
