Cellist Joshua Roman, an Oklahoma native and a favorite at the Cliburn, follows with Mason Bates’s Cello Concerto, composed for him in 2014. The finale features California-born Angel Stanislav Wang, a 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition finalist, in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
