Bring a picnic and a blanket for a free Shakespeare in the Park experience offered throughout the Puget Sound region. This production of Macbeth begins with three witches and a fateful prophecy that pushes a determined couple toward the throne, unleashing supernatural forces, relentless ambition, and devastating consequences. Look for many of the play’s most iconic moments, presented at Des Moines Beach Park Auditorium.

Senior adults come together for a simple breakfast, followed by talks from visiting speakers, mind-stimulating games, and friendly conversation. It is free and takes place every Wednesday, except on observed holidays.

Groove Nation takes the stage as part of Puyallup’s Concerts in the Parks, presented by Ted Brown Music. The Puyallup Night Market will be on-site weekly with food trucks and vendors. Attendees may bring blankets and lawn chairs. Pop-up tents and large umbrellas need to be taken down before the music starts. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted in Puyallup’s parks, and concerts may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Concerts in this series are free to attend. Non-perishable food and hygiene items will be collected at each concert for the Puyallup Food Bank. Additional vendor spots are not being accepted, and unsolicited vendor posts are scams. Morrill Meadows Park sets the stage for a family friendly evening that begins with a live performance by the Kent School of Rock, followed by an outdoor screening of School of Rock starring Jack Black beneath the night sky. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome. Local food trucks will be available, and the outdoor movie is free.

The Puyallup Farmers’ Market transforms downtown Puyallup’s Pioneer Park and Pavilion into one of Washington’s largest indoor and outdoor marketplaces, featuring more than 145 small business vendors alongside sponsors and local community organizations. Browse farm-fresh produce, flowers, meat, and seafood, discover handmade arts and crafts, and enjoy artisan foods with ready-to-eat options on site. Live music from local musician Kage Dallas adds to the atmosphere. Admission is free, and leashed dogs are welcome outdoors. With a playground and a nearby splash park at Pioneer Park, it is a convenient choice for a family-friendly outing.

Organized by ATFS! and Puyallup Parks & Recreation, this no cost 5K features a route on the Puyallup Riverwalk Trail where participants can choose to run or walk. It is family friendly and well suited for taking part with friends, offering a chance for the community to get moving together.

Watercolor Fest welcomes all ages to a free, family-friendly celebration of summer and the art of watercolor. Guests can dive into hands-on creativity by painting wooden flower keepsakes to take home and filling in watercolor-inspired coloring pages with markers, crayons, and other supplies. Artists and beginners alike will find a relaxed space to experiment, create, and spark new ideas. A featured artist will paint live, offering a close-up look at an original work coming to life and a chance to see the creative process in action. For a cool break, head outside to a giant waterslide or step into the splash zone, where water squirters filled with brightly colored, non-toxic water add a playful burst of color. Wearing clothing that can get splashed is recommended. Music plays throughout, setting an upbeat backdrop as families explore everything on offer. The Federal Way Farmers Market takes place alongside the festivities, inviting visitors to browse fresh produce, tasty food vendors, local artisans, and handmade goods while soaking in a full day of creativity and community.
