Team up for a Magic: The Gathering prerelease set in the world of The Hobbit, where famous pairings like Gandalf with Bilbo or Fíli with Kíli inspire a cooperative Two-Headed Giant event. Entry is $90 per team. The set returns to Middle‑earth with a wide range of familiar characters and creatures, evoking travels with dwarves, run‑ins with trolls, clever encounters with elves, and songs along the way. Two-Headed Giant is played by teams of two who share a starting life total of 30 and take their turns at the same time. Life is the only shared resource. When a card says “you,” it applies only to the player who controls that card. Effects that say “each opponent” or “each player” apply to both members of the opposing team or to all players individually. Players can block creatures attacking themselves, their teammate, or any planeswalkers their team controls. Each participant receives a Prerelease kit and builds a deck of at least 40 cards, with basic lands provided.
