Meditation & Metaphor: Ceramic Sculpture & Watercolors

Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E River Rd, Tucson · verified Sep 18
    Free

A free reception at the Tucson J highlights an exhibition of ceramic sculpture and watercolor by Tracy Ann Holmes. The artist’s process begins with quiet, focused observation in watercolor, where the interaction of water, pigment, and paper creates a blend of intention and chance. Inspired by the color and vitality of the Sonoran Desert, her reflections grow into questions that she explores through visual metaphors. She sketches, gathers references, and then shapes ideas in clay, translating quotes and elements of faith into forms that convey meaning beyond their surface. Light refreshments will be available, and guests will have the opportunity to meet Tracy and learn more about how meditation and metaphor guide her work.
