Hug-A-Bears brings volunteers together at Sunwest Federal Credit Union to create comforting teddy bears for children supported by first responders and other agencies. Bears arrive pre-assembled and ready for machine sewing, and there is also an option to help from home by stuffing them. The group especially welcomes people who can sew by machine. This effort has been ongoing for more than 40 years, and the bears remain in steady demand because they help build trust with children during difficult moments.
