Hosted by Hagaman Memorial Library’s Teen Services Department, this weekly Summer Teen Lounge welcomes youths ages 12 to 18 to the DeMayo Room for a relaxed, free hangout. Each session features a rotating mix of activities, from board games and creative projects to manga, movies, and more. It offers a friendly space to connect with friends, try new things, and enjoy time together throughout the summer.

Phantasm Gaming hosts open play for Magic: The Gathering Commander. Bring a favorite deck and enjoy casual or competitive games with friends or new opponents. Entry is free. As a Wizards Play Network store, Phantasm Gaming supports a broad tabletop scene that includes trading card games, roleplaying games, miniature wargaming, and board games. A community Discord shares updates on special events, sales, new arrivals, and opportunities to find casual games or chat about RPGs and TCGs. The shop also buys cards.

This free show celebrates Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead during Jerry Week, known as The Days Between. If the weather allows, the performance will be held outdoors. The lineup will be announced.

Mr. Donald's Farm brings homemade sweet treats to the Tony Inzero Farmers Markets at West Haven Beach, offering farm fresh eggs, pies, muffins, jams, granola and more. Everything is freshly baked, so selections vary. The market also features homegrown fruits and vegetables, additional baked goods and handmade crafts along the beach boardwalk.

Join the weekly afternoon jazz jam at Cafe Nine, running every Saturday from 4 to 7 pm. It’s a friendly, free session where musicians can sit in after the first set. No cover charge.

Pop ups bring extra fun and flavor, from gluten free baked goods by Auntie Momo’s Gluten Free Bakery and icy refreshments from Baileys Shaved Ice to handmade birdhouses, feeders and planter boxes from Branford Birdhouse. Look for crumbcakes from Duckies Crumbcake, various spice blends, and handmade soy candles with wood wicks and wax melts from Madison Rose Candle Co, including crystal infused and horror themed selections. Civic groups are part of the experience as well. American Legion Post 89 supports Wreaths Across America throughout the season. Pop up appearances include the Community Dining Room sharing resources for families, East Haven Class of 2027 with bracket making, East Haven Fire Dept Volunteer Company 1 Ladies Auxiliary with membership and fundraising information, the East Haven Food Pantry with learning opportunities and an activity, East Haven Youth Hockey with program information and swag, the East Haven Rotary with fundraising event details, Girl Scouts with educational activities, the Shoreline Garden Club with hands on learning, and the Shoreline Trolley Museum with engaging educational offerings. An on site market booth provides information, monthly raffles, and occasional giveaways. Licensed and insured vendors and civic organizations are welcome to inquire about participating.

Enjoy a relaxed farm visit with no admission fee. Pick up farm fresh goods, including chicken, duck, and turkey eggs. The setting is welcoming for toddlers and kids, with classic outdoor activities such as a pint-sized obstacle course, a sand sensory table, opportunities to see the animals, children’s music, a pretend farm stand stocked with play fruits and vegetables, and a hay maze, along with other simple fun for everyone. Learn the basics of Magic: The Gathering at Phantasm Gaming with a guided session that covers gameplay fundamentals and deck building. The format is a structured teach and play experience created for brand new players, and it also suits regulars who want to introduce friends to the game. Welcome Decks and teaching materials are provided. Entry is free. Phantasm Gaming is a WPN store and a community space for tabletop gaming, including trading card games, RPGs, wargaming, and board games.

Wild Bloom's host Matty F leads Music Bingo at Wood-n-Tap in Hamden. It is free to play. Instead of numbers, each round uses short clips of songs, and because this is not a music trivia game, the screen shows the song title and artist to give a hand when needed.
