Summer Camp week 4 "Young Masters"

Young Masters is a summer camp session led by Dominque Tynes, with each day centered on a different influential artist and a hands-on technique. Participants explore Van Gogh through a textured take on The Starry Night, using white glue with salt to build swirling lines, then adding watercolor washes so the color spreads into the texture. A Monet focus highlights nature and color mixing by sponge-painting a pond in blues and greens and layering folded pink and white tissue petals to form three-dimensional water lilies. The Matisse lesson features cut-paper collage, encouraging bold shapes arranged into a large spiral or a lively garden composition. An outdoor Pollock workshop investigates movement and energy by splattering, blowing paint through straws, and letting color drip from sticks onto big canvases. The week concludes with a Picasso-inspired cubist project in which a self-portrait is drawn, cut into pieces, and reassembled out of order for a multifaceted look.

Gentle Somatic Movement & Breath

A calm, supportive class at Restorative Wellness Vero focuses on nervous system regulation and a felt sense of ease. The session invites a slower pace so the mind can settle and the body’s innate wisdom can be heard. Through guided somatic breathwork and gentle, intuitive movement, participants are encouraged to release held tension, restore balance, and return to a steady presence. Instead of aiming for performance or perfect form, the emphasis is on awareness. You will be guided to notice subtle sensations, follow your own natural rhythms, and move in ways that feel replenishing and supportive. Accessible breathing sequences, unhurried embodied motion, and intentional quiet help signal safety to the system. As stress patterns soften, many people report deeper relaxation, steadier emotions, increased body awareness, and a clear, calm state of mind. Each class generally begins with a grounding arrival to shift out of doing and into presence. It then moves into simple breath practices for soothing and balance, followed by slow, mindful movement that encourages organic exploration rather than fixed poses. The experience closes with restful integration so the effects can settle, with an optional moment for personal reflection or brief journaling.
