    The Chris Codish Trio spotlights a Metro Detroit keyboardist and vocalist known for piano, organ, keyboards, and synth, delivering a lively blend of jazz, funk, and blues shaped by a clear artistic perspective and an entertainer’s touch. With more than three decades onstage and over 40 Detroit Music Awards, Chris has toured internationally with artists such as Hiram Bullock, Alexander Zonjic, Harvey Mason, Roy Ayers, The Blues Brothers, Lucky Peterson, Johnnie Bassett, and Larry McCray. In the studio, he has contributed to over 80 commercial releases along with numerous independent albums, and he produced Johnnie Bassett’s final two records for Mack Ave. Records and Sly Dog Records, The Gentleman is Back and I Can Make That Happen. His keyboard work can also be heard with Detroit favorites including Carl Craig, Don Was, Sponge, Alexander Zonjic, Ben Sharkey, Laith Al-Saddi, Thornetta Davis, Johnnie Bassett, and Larry McCray, and he has provided music for clients such as Mercedes Benz, AISIN, Henry Ford House, The Detroit Medical Center, and the DAC. He performs both solo and with his trio at respected Metro Detroit restaurants, holding weekly house gigs at the London Chop House downtown and Eddie V’s in Troy, and he has played Hammond organ every Sunday at Godland Unity Church in Detroit since 1997. Expect a set filled with soulful vocals, rich keyboard textures, and a groove-driven mix of jazz, funk, and blues.
