A community tradition at the Stillwater History Museum features a concert by internationally acclaimed guitarist Edgar Cruz. Known for an engaging stage presence and versatility, Cruz has performed across the United States, Europe, Mexico, and South America. He has been a longtime headliner at the Chet Atkins Guitar Festival in Nashville since 1995 and has built a career spanning thousands of performances since the late 1970s. This special event is a fundraiser for the Stillwater History Museum at the Sheerar. Proceeds from ticket sales support general operations, educational programs, exhibits, and efforts to preserve and share the community’s history. Seating is first come, first served, and refreshments are provided by the League of Women Voters.

July Water Wizards Pop-up
Water Wizards brings hands-on summer science to the Horticulture Education Center at The Botanic Garden at Oklahoma State University. Children can mix, pour, and freeze a custom popsicle, design and decorate small boats to test what floats, explore a station about water pollution and ways to protect waterways, and cool off at a water table and splash pad. Created by StillWonder, this pop-up blends learning and play to spark curiosity and creativity. It is designed for children ages 3 to 10, and families of all ages can enjoy the experience together in the garden. Volunteer roles are available for individuals who would like to help with this event. Upon arrival, a parent or guardian signs in once per family so all participants are accounted for and the supervising adult understands their responsibilities. Children must remain with a responsible adult at all times, and that adult assumes responsibility for the child’s safety and behavior. By attending, caregivers grant permission for their child to be photographed, filmed, or recorded for StillWonder’s promotional, educational, or other lawful uses without compensation or approval rights. Participation may involve physical activity and interaction with exhibits, and attendance indicates acknowledgment and acceptance of these risks and of the full release terms on behalf of the child.

No prior experience is required, as instructor Missy Hitch offers step-by-step guidance throughout. Closed-toed shoes are required for safety, and safety glasses are worn during cutting, with a pair provided or you may bring your own. All other materials are included. This one-day class is open to ages 15 and up, and tuition is $30.

OSU Museum of ArtDiscover the Art of Pottery (11- 14yrs)
This clay focused half-day camp is designed for ages 11 to 14 and introduces the fundamentals of working with clay through hand-building, time at the wheel, and glazing. Across four sessions, participants complete multiple hand-built projects during two days, spend one day getting comfortable with the wheel, then devote one day to glazing. A finished piece is not guaranteed from the single wheel session, since that day emphasizes practice and exploration. Because ceramics are fired at high temperatures, occasional damage or loss can occur, and this becomes a lesson in resilience and persistence. Make up classes are not available. Instruction is led by Missy Hitch, a ceramics instructor at Prairie Arts Center with more than a decade of experience. She teaches hand-building and beginning wheel classes, creates functional pieces like mugs, baking dishes, and teapots, and has guided a variety of themed workshops. Tuition is $125, and all supplies are included. Students should wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get messy, and they are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle and a snack.

Cross Brand Cowboy Church presents a $100 added money race with ticketed exhibitions available for $5 each before the main competition. The race opens with walk, trot, and leadline, then continues with the Open, with Youth and Senior offered as sidepots. An arena fee of $10 per person applies, except for walk, trot, and leadline entries. Walk, trot, and leadline entries are $10, there is no arena fee or payback, and every participant receives a prize after completing a run. The 3D Peewee division is for ages 10 and under with a $15 entry and a 1 second split, and with a paid entry riders may roll their time to the Youth and Open. The Open carries a $40 entry and a 1/2 second split. The 3D Youth sidepot is for ages 18 and under with a $30 entry and a 1 second split. The 3D Senior sidepot is for ages 50 and up with a $30 entry and a 1/2 second split. Payout for all groups other than walk, trot, and leadline is an 80 percent progressive format. Food is available at the church concession stand, and event photography is provided by KaChow Media. The producer and nominees have chosen to offer this as an added money race rather than a series, and sponsorship dollars return in full to contestants. Designed with ages 3 to 10 in mind, the experience welcomes families to learn together through hands-on STEAM activities in a garden setting. Upon arrival, a parent or guardian signs in for each family and stays with children at all times, taking responsibility for their safety and behavior. Attendance also grants permission for photography, video, and audio recording that may be used by StillWonder for educational, promotional, or other lawful purposes without compensation, and without a right to review or approve final materials. This gala concert showcases Cynthia Erivo, MBE, with Anthony Parnther on the podium and Music Director Mark Meadows. Erivo’s achievements include an Emmy, a Tony, two Grammy Awards, and three Academy Award nominations, reflecting her work as an actress, singer, author, and producer. She first rose to prominence in The Color Purple on the West End and Broadway, later portraying Elphaba in the record-breaking films Wicked and Wicked: For Good, and she is returning to the West End in Kip Williams’ solo staging of Dracula. All tickets include complimentary parking in the connected 4th Avenue Garage and entry to a pre-concert reception in the lobby. The recommended attire for this gala is black tie optional.
The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts9-11 Memorial Stairclimb
This memorial stair climb features a total ascent equal to 110 floors inside Boone Pickens Stadium on the Oklahoma State University campus, honoring the 343 firefighters who lost their lives while saving others during the World Trade Center attacks in New York City. It observes the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001 and marks the ninth year this remembrance has been held at Oklahoma State University. Participants take on the stadium steps as a respectful tribute to the courage and sacrifice shown that day.
Boone Pickens Stadium - Enter at Gate 3, Park in Lot 10Putts for Pets
Putts for Pets is an annual golf tournament at Cimarron Trails Golf Club that supports the Humane Society. Teams compete in a friendly setting with entry perks that include a T-shirt and lunch. Recognition is given for first, second, and even last place. Sponsorships are available, and a silent auction features Gameday Ironworks items along with other baskets. Registration and sign-up are available, and winners are announced during the event.
Cimarron Trails Golf Club"Haunted Stillwater" book signing with Jeff Provine
Celebrate the release of Haunted Stillwater, the new book from author Jeff Provine. Copies will be available for purchase, and the author will sign them. The collection features uncanny stories connected to the OSU campus, downtown, and locations across Payne County, including Ghost Hollow and the Twin Mounds battlefield, and it even includes an interview with Frank Eaton's ghost. The buildings at Oklahoma Territorial Plaza will be open for tours. The Ok P.R.I.D.E. Paranormal Team will offer free activities for kids. Additional activities are listed in separate event postings.

Designed for ages 8 to 15, this kid-focused experience begins with an educator-led mini class that introduces common paranormal terms and investigation methods, then continues with a brief, guided investigation using the team’s equipment. The cost is $10 per participant. Pre-registration is requested, and payment by cash or card will be accepted upon arrival.
Oklahoma Territorial Plaza"Haunted Stillwater" Paranormal Investigation
Haunted Stillwater is a hands-on paranormal investigation at Oklahoma Territorial Plaza for adults ages 16 and up. It starts with instruction that explains core terminology, investigation techniques, and the technologies used, then continues with a guided investigation using equipment provided by the team. The cost is $25 per person and is non-refundable. Space is limited to 20 participants, and advance registration with payment is required. This activity is not ADA accessible. Attendees must be able to sit and stand for long periods in the dark and walk over varied terrain.

HERPS Stillwater Exotic Reptile and Pet Show
At the Payne County Expo Center, Expo Hall in Stillwater, a large-scale marketplace offers thousands of reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and more available for purchase. Shoppers can also stock up on feeders and other supplies in one convenient place at discounted prices. Tickets are available at the door by cash or card, and concessions will be offered. Admission is $10 for a one day adult ticket or $15 for two days. Children ages 5 to 12 are $5 for one day or $8 for two days. Children 4 and under are free.
