At Can You Diagnose, they examine patients to figure out what is wrong. At the First Aid Practice Station, they build basic care and response skills. At the Operation Station, they explore tools and practice problem solving through rescue themed play. Created for ages 3 to 10, with families of all ages welcome, this StillWonder pop-up sparks curiosity and creativity while making learning fun in a garden setting. Upon arrival, one parent or guardian must sign in for each family, and children must remain with a responsible adult who assumes responsibility for their safety and behavior. Attendance grants StillWonder permission to photograph, film, or otherwise record participants for promotional, educational, or other lawful uses without compensation or further approval. Activities may involve physical movement and interaction with exhibits that carry a risk of injury, and caregivers accept all known and unknown risks on behalf of their child by attending. The new record was created quickly with the same band that made Light Verse in Laurel Canyon. It leans into folk rock, jazz-tinged folk, and Tropicalia, exploring themes of closeness, devotion, and emotional intensity, with contributions from I’m With Her and harmonies by Beam’s daughter, Arden. The concert features opening performances by DUG and Ken Pomeroy. DUG, the folk duo of Conor “Lorkin” O’Reilly and Jonny Pickett, draws on American and Irish traditions with banjo and resonator-driven arrangements, blending wit and heart, lively grooves, and reflective moments. They release music with Claddagh Records. Ken Pomeroy, a Cherokee artist raised in Moore, Oklahoma, writes with empathetic clarity and pairs rootsy indie-folk textures with a nuanced soprano. The Waxie Dargles return for an annual Halloween party that keeps a favorite tradition going. A free family trick or treat takes place in the back yard, followed by the Dargles taking the stage to continue the celebration. The hope is for this gathering to carry on for the next hundred years, with all the ghosts meeting up to keep the party alive.

The Gloss Mountain Cruisers Oct. Cruise Night brings drivers to downtown Fairview to roll along Main Street and enjoy local fare alongside a featured food truck.
