Sunday is dedicated to Peter's Mill Run, a Jeep Badge of Honor trail, with the group heading home after completing it. Both trails are well suited to stock Jeeps. Flagpole Knob includes a few sections that are slightly more challenging, yet still manageable for stock vehicles. The outing offers a chance to take Jeeps off road, enjoy mountain scenery, and log a Badge of Honor on Peter's Mill Run. The third edition of Battle of the Bay returns to Peninsula Family Skating Center in Newport News, bringing a fast-paced mini tournament that draws skaters from Hampton Roads, the DMV region, and beyond. The Festival Main Stage includes a Beer Garden serving beer, cider, seltzer, and wine, and food trucks offer breakfast, brunch, and lunch options to enjoy throughout the day. Note that pets are not allowed in the park and beach areas east of First Street (including the greenspace, facilities, boardwalk, and beach) from May 15 through Sept. 15, and only service animals are permitted. The playground is also off-limits to non-service animals year-round.
