A well supplied aid station will be available, with mainly pre-packaged items due to the location. Self crewing is straightforward, since the loop brings participants past their vehicles every lap, allowing them to access supplies directly from their cars. Opera in Williamsburg Virginia presents Hector Armienta’s Zorro! at Kimball Theatre, marking the opera’s East Coast debut. Premiered in 2022, this new work is often described as Puccini meets Mexico. It is sung in English and Spanish with English supertitles. Set in the early 1800s during political upheaval in Spain and Mexico, the story follows a young man returning from Spain to the pueblo of Los Angeles to embrace his destiny and reunite with a young mestiza he was once forbidden to love. Inspired by true events and the legendary masked hero, the tale blends romance and daring swordplay as Californios resist the Old World Spanish monarchy. Previously staged in Santa Barbara, San Jose, Arizona, and other locations in the Western United States, this is a live, fully staged production. Reserved seating is available.
