Meeting on the third Wednesday of each month at Sunwest Federal Credit Union, this hands-on gathering focuses on creating stuffed bears that support children in crisis. First responders and other agencies request these bears to help build trust with young children during difficult situations. Volunteers with machine sewing skills are especially needed, and the bears are prepared and ready to sew. Many participants also contribute from home, including sewing and stuffing. Enjoy a free Latin dance evening at Sonora Moonshine Company in downtown Tucson. The night begins with a quick salsa and bachata class, then the dance floor opens for social dancing set to mostly bachata and salsa. Food and drink specials are available.
